Vegeta gritted his teeth, clenching his fists tightly.
However, after considering Broly's terrifying combat power, Vegeta decided against provoking him. He took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down.
"There's a mysterious aura on that mountain over there. Let's go check it out," Reiz pointed towards a distant peak.
The mountain wasn't particularly tall, but it stood out prominently on the plain. A circular building could be vaguely seen at its summit.
"Hmph, what's so great about a mountain?" Vegeta scoffed, still annoyed about the earlier incident.
"I wasn't talking to you!" Reiz reprimanded, then turned to look at Linoshi.
"O-Okay," Linoshi nodded gently, her blue eyes gazing tenderly at Reiz.
Reiz wasted no more words and, taking Linoshi's hand, flew up into the sky.
Their figures streaked across the blue sky.
Although Vegeta had said he didn't want to go, he still took to the air and obediently followed.
Seeing this, Broly also quickly took flight, glancing back at the purple plants as he flew, a hint of reluctance in his eyes.
The four of them flew rapidly towards the mountain together.
Soon, Reiz and the others landed on the distant mountaintop.
The summit was very flat, as if artificially leveled. A circular house stood there, its white walls emitting a soft glow in the sunlight.
Various unknown plants were neatly arranged around the house.
As if sensing the approach of a formidable aura, the person inside the house immediately emerged and looked gravely at Reiz and his companions.
An old Namekian emerged from the house.
He leaned on a staff, his skin a deep green, etched with the marks of time.
Namekians had a characteristic: their skin darkened with age.
Children's skin was like tender grass, a light green; in middle age, it became a darker green; by old age, it turned deep green.
The old man's face was covered in wrinkles, but his eyes remained sharp.
He wore a simple white robe, his back slightly stooped, yet he exuded a steady presence.
Upon clearly seeing the appearances of Reiz and the others, his expression changed, his pupils contracting slightly.
"You... you are Saiyans?" the old man, Monaito, muttered gravely, tightening his grip on his staff.
"Is this a Namekian?" Vegeta blinked, immediately identifying the other's origin as he sized up Monaito.
"Saiyans! What brings you here?" Monaito asked with some wariness, his gaze sweeping over the four before finally settling on Reiz.
He instinctively felt that this young man was the leader of this group.
"Our spaceship happened to land on this planet, and I sensed your aura, so we came to investigate," Reiz said with a slight smile and a calm tone.
Vegeta: "..."
Vegeta was speechless, inwardly grumbling.
Reiz really didn't need any preparation to tell a lie.
You clearly came to this planet with a purpose, didn't you?
He curled his lip, but this time, he wisely chose to remain silent and didn't say anything further.
"Sensed your aura?" Monaito looked deeply at Reiz, then at the others. Noticing they weren't wearing Scouters, his expression couldn't help but change. "You Saiyans can sense auras now?"
His voice carried clear surprise and caution.
Although Namekians possessed sensing abilities, Saiyans had always relied on Scouters; he knew this all too well.
"Only I can sense auras right now; these two still can't," Reiz said, pointing at Vegeta and Broly, grinning and revealing a set of white teeth.
Vegeta fell silent, crossing his arms and tilting his chin up, feigning indifference.
Broly, on the other hand, seemed unconcerned, still holding his mineral water bottle and taking sips whenever he pleased, a look of contentment on his face.
For him, being able to drink clean water was the greatest happiness.
"Huh? What's that shiny ball over there?" Reiz suddenly looked at the Dragon Ball in Monaito's house, his eyes lighting up slightly.
It was a small orb, resting quietly on a wooden shelf in the corner of the room.
The Dragon Balls on Planet Cereal were small, only the size of a marble, emitting a faint golden light in the dim room.
The light was soft and mysterious, as if containing some special power.
"It's... it's nothing..." Monaito's face changed slightly, and he quickly said, instinctively taking a step to the side, trying to block Reiz's view.
"Go, bring that thing over here for me to see," Reiz commanded Broly and Vegeta.
Vegeta snorted, showing no intention of moving.
I am a Prince, do you think it's appropriate to give me orders like this?
He glanced sideways at Reiz, still with his arms crossed, unmoving.
However, Broly paid no mind and walked straight into the house.
His speed was astonishing, stirring up a gust of wind.
Monaito wanted to reach out and stop him, raising his arm to block the doorway.
However, after a brief hesitation, Monaito silently withdrew the hand he had extended.
He could look if he wanted to!
What could he possibly figure out?
A silly, wild child, it was strange if he could even recognize a Dragon Ball.
Soon, Broly rushed out of the room, clutching the golden bead in his hand. He ran excitedly to Reiz and handed the Dragon Ball to him.
"Broly is still the obedient one!" Reiz nodded with satisfaction, taking the Dragon Ball.
"Heh heh." Broly grinned foolishly, revealing a set of pearly white teeth.
Vegeta: "..."
Vegeta gave Broly a glare, feeling a bit sour.
This silly kid really knew how to butter people up.
"What a magical item, it actually glows!" Reiz examined the Dragon Ball in his hand, marveling at it.
He raised the Dragon Ball to his eyes, carefully observing its soft golden light.
Monaito remained silent, simply watching, his gaze complex.
"What is this thing?" Reiz asked Monaito with a smile, feigning ignorance.
"It's just an ordinary ornament. If you like it, feel free to take it," Monaito said indifferently, his tone calm, but a flicker of imperceptible nervousness flashed in his eyes.
"Then I won't be polite," Reiz naturally claimed the Dragon Ball as his own and tucked it into his embrace.
Monaito: "..."
Monaito was speechless.
You're really not holding back at all!
But, having already spoken, it was too late for Monaito to go back on his word.
He opened his mouth, but in the end, said nothing, only feeling a sense of loss in his heart.
That was a Dragon Ball, something he had painstakingly protected.
"Linoshi, do you like it? I'll give it to you. This thing looks like it should be quite fun," Reiz smiled, taking the Dragon Ball out of his embrace again and handing it to Linoshy.
