Ch. 104Tang Sect's Foundation
Topaz toured the Tang Sect headquarters with Wu Zhangkong and proposed acquiring its historic premises as payment toward the sect’s debt. Manager Guo presented rare herbs, metals, and three Immortal Herbs to repay part of what the Tang Sect owed, but Topaz valued them at only around two hundred million, leaving the debt unresolved.
- Topaz told Wu Zhangkong that Douluo Peace Company wanted to open a Shrek City branch and acquire the Tang Sect premises as debt repayment.
- Wu Zhangkong rejected the proposal, explaining that the headquarters was central to the Tang Sect’s history and could not be sold.
- Topaz warned that the Tang Sect was weakened, heavily indebted, and vulnerable to other factions, while Wu Zhangkong admitted he had little influence over its decisions.
- Wu Zhangkong brought Topaz to meet Manager Guo, who presented rare herbs, metals, and three Immortal Herbs as assets for repaying the debt.
- Topaz estimated the displayed assets at around two hundred million, far short of the Tang Sect’s debt of more than one hundred billion.
