The moment Obito's voice fell, the space around him twisted violently, and black chakra surged outward like a tide. Su Ye's pupils contracted sharply. His Rinne Sharingan spun at full speed, pale purple tomoe whirling rapidly in his eyes. He could clearly detect the Kamui chakra surging through Obito's right arm, yet at the edge of his vision, he sensed an elusive, almost imperceptible "blank" trajectory.
"Watch your back!" Su Ye instinctively sidestepped. An invisible attack grazed his shoulder armor and blasted a half-meter-deep crater into the rock wall behind him. He whipped around. In the field of vision granted by his Rinne Sharingan, a black shadow identical to Obito had appeared, the black rod in its hand still trembling faintly.
"Limbo: Border Jail..." Danzo's voice carried a hint of greed. "I never thought Lord Madara would teach you even this forbidden power."
Obito sneered and pressed his left hand to the ground. Five black shadows separated from his body and circled Su Ye like wraiths. "Su Ye, your Rinne Sharingan can see through Limbo. That's interesting. But can you fend off six of me at once?"
Before his words had even faded, Obito and the five shadows attacked simultaneously. Obito used Kamui to pull Su Ye's left leg into another space, while the shadows thrust their black rods at his limbs and heart. Su Ye's heart tightened. He immediately activated Heavenly Hand Power, switching places with the rod in the leftmost shadow's hand!
"Clang!" Metal rang out. As Su Ye raised the rod to block, a stabbing pain shot through his right arm. Another shadow's attack had struck his shoulder, and black chakra seeped through the wound into his meridians, destroying his cells like poison.
"I can't just keep taking hits!" Su Ye gritted his teeth and poured all his Rinne Sharingan chakra into his eyes. Pale purple light flared, and his consciousness seemed to sink into a dark space. Countless Limbo trajectories appeared clearly in his vision. They were flaws in Obito's still-unmastered power: each shadow's existence was linked to Obito's chakra.
"Found you!" Su Ye suddenly turned and thrust the black rod toward empty space. Obito's real body frowned sharply and hastily twisted space with Kamui, but the rod still grazed his left arm, leaving a wound deep enough to expose bone.
"How can you attack my real body?" A flicker of astonishment crossed Obito's eyes. Limbo's shadows were beings that "could not interfere with reality." Only the real body could control them, and no one had ever used the shadows to pinpoint its location.
Su Ye didn't answer. He could feel a new power awakening within his Rinne Sharingan. The instant he had locked onto Obito, his consciousness had resonated with Limbo's dark space. That resonance allowed him to briefly "interfere" with Obito's chakra connection.
Seeing Obito on the back foot, Danzo's eyes flashed with malice. He abruptly formed hand seals. "Reverse Four-Symbols Sealing!" A black cursed seal spread from his right arm, attempting to seal Su Ye and Obito together. "If I can't capture you, then we'll all die together!"
Obito's expression changed. He immediately tried to escape with Kamui, only to find the sealing force had immobilized space. Su Ye panicked. His Rinne Sharingan chakra erupted again, and this time he deliberately sank his consciousness into Limbo. Countless black chakra threads gathered in his hand, forming a black longsword identical to the one held by the shadow.
"Rinne Sharingan: Limbo Slash!" Su Ye swung the sword. Black sword energy instantly cleaved through the sealing force and severed the chakra connection between Obito and the five shadows. The shadows vanished like bubbles. Seizing his chance, Obito broke free of the spatial restraint and stumbled back ten meters.
Danzo's sealing jutsu was broken. He spat out a mouthful of blood and stared at Su Ye in disbelief. "You can control Limbo's power... That's impossible!"
Su Ye gripped the black longsword. His breathing was somewhat unsteady, but his gaze grew sharper. "Nothing's impossible. Danzo, you colluded with the Akatsuki and experimented on the bodies of shinobi. Today, I'll expose your crimes."
Obito wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, wariness flashing in his eyes. "Su Ye, you're more trouble than I expected. But the game has only just begun." He suddenly activated Kamui, his body gradually merging with space. "Next time we meet, I'll show you the true 'Eye of the Moon Plan.'"
After Obito left, the base began to shake violently. Danzo had apparently activated its self-destruct sequence. Su Ye ignored Danzo, who had collapsed on the ground, and raced toward the cultivation chambers. He needed to take the experimental evidence with him and let everyone in Konoha know what Danzo had done.
Clutching a scroll containing the experimental data, he burst out of the base. A tremendous explosion sounded behind him. Su Ye looked back at the sky over Konoha's eastern outskirts, shrouded in black smoke. He knew that the battle against Root and the Akatsuki had only just begun. And the Limbo power awakening within him would be key to opposing the Eye of the Moon Plan.
