On the Sky Screen, Nahida assured the elemental life, "I'll take responsibility for it. You don't need to worry."
Ouyang Kong turned to Nahida beside him and asked, "Nahida, had you already prepared for the worst back then?"
Nahida nodded.
"Things couldn't possibly go that smoothly, and Apep wouldn't trust me. The Core Flame couldn't be used just this once. Greater Lord Rukkhadevata could sacrifice herself to save Sumeru, and there was nothing I couldn't sacrifice, either."
"As the God of Wisdom, why would you act so rashly?"
"Because I'm the God of Wisdom, I chose the safest course. Just as those Elemental Lifeforms said, form doesn't matter. Their essence won't change easily."
Ouyang Kong sighed and gently patted Nahida's head, his heart aching for her.
Of the Seven Archons, Nahida was probably the one who inspired the most pity.
The scene on the Sky Screen continued. The elemental life told Nahida that they could use the Core Flame to find the Dendro Dragon's current location.
"That's all I know. There's no time to lose. Hurry and go!"
"What about you?"
"Don't worry about me. Hurry home."
"Everyone should go home, and that includes you."
"I told you, I've already lost my chance to be saved.
"Dendro Archon, thank you for coming to find me. Thank you for being willing to save the Dendro Dragon.
"Our people's past has been protected, and our people's future can continue. I have no regrets!"
Before Nahida and the Traveler, the elemental life turned back into a clump of black sludge.
The Traveler used the power of the Lumenstone to rescue a small amount of elemental energy, then merged it into another elemental life.
"He's the one who most deserves to go home. This is the ending he deserves. Thank you!"
