Ch. 61False Sky

Nahida traded the Raiden Shogun’s Gnosis to Dottore in exchange for shutting down the Akasha, then agreed to hear his revelation about the False Sky. The Sky Screen showed the Three Moon Sisters’ fall and Dottore wielding their power before the scene ended abruptly, leaving Nahida and the others wondering what he had become.

  • Thoth told Nefer he had lied to Zandik about needing a companion with Tulaytullah blood to escape the secret realm.
  • Nahida used her authority to read Dottore’s mind as he erased his other segments, then gave him the Raiden Shogun’s Gnosis in exchange for control of Sumeru and the Akasha’s shutdown.
  • Dottore asked Nahida for the Dendro Gnosis and offered knowledge in trade, then revealed that Teyvat’s stars were false and that Irminsul hid the world’s truth.
  • The Sky Screen showed the Three Moon Sisters shattering and five more shadowy figures appearing before Dottore opened the False Sky and declared that he had descended.
  • Nahida asked Aether what power Dottore had wielded, and Aether identified it as the power of the Three Moon Sisters; Apep recognized Nibelung’s roar and condemned the fallen sisters as traitors.

Ch. 62A Fungi's Plea for Help

Nahida attended a celebration with Sumeru’s people, then investigated a mysterious Core Flame and followed a Fungi seeking help. She healed an unconscious elemental life form, which woke and spoke to her, the Traveler, and Paimon.

  • Nahida joined Cyno, Alhaitham, Nilou, Dehya, Candace, Dunyarzad, and Sumeru residents at a banquet, gaining more followers on the Douluo Continent.
  • Nahida found a Core Flame in Surasthana and realized it came from Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, whose erasure from Irminsul had left her memories confused.
  • Nahida and the Traveler followed a frightened Fungi after she sensed that it needed help.
  • Nahida discovered the unconscious Fungi was an elemental life form with a void blocking its energy flow, then restored it with elemental energy.
  • The revived Fungi thanked Nahida and addressed Paimon as an unidentified creature, prompting Paimon to protest.

Ch. 63The Wish to Go Home

Nahida and the Traveler learned that the mysterious Fungi was an ancient elemental being whose homeland had been devastated by Forbidden Knowledge. Nahida promised to find its surviving family, and the Aranara appeared as the search began.

  • The Fungi explained that its family had fled their homeland after Forbidden Knowledge corrupted it and that the catastrophe had cost it some memories.
  • The Fungi told Nahida it had forgotten where its homeland was, and Nahida reassured it that its home had been saved.
  • Nahida promised to search for the Fungi’s surviving family using her familiars and the children of the city.
  • Little radish-shaped creatures called Aranara emerged from the rainforest, alarming some Spirit Masters watching the Sky Screen.

Ch. 64The Cause of the Withering Zones

Nahida led the Fungi toward a Withering Zone to uncover the fate of the ancient elemental beings. The Fungi revealed that Withering Zones formed when beings like them succumbed to prolonged suffering, leaving Nahida with the responsibility of helping them return home.

  • The Aranara set out at Nahida's request, while Spirit Masters who recognized them feared they had nearly attacked the Grass God's familiars.
  • The Fungi told Nahida that Greater Lord Rukkhadevata had promised they would return home after the calamity, and Nahida offered to help find their family.
  • Tighnari deduced that Withering Zones might be remnants left behind when ancient elemental beings died.
  • The Fungi explained that they had adapted into Fungi to blend into Sumeru's environment and that she had forgotten her child's name.
  • Nahida and the Fungi reached a Withering Zone, where the Fungi explained that it was the final form of beings like them after they suffered and succumbed.

Ch. 65Home Is the Dendro Dragon

The Fungi explained that the elemental energy of their lost companions remained in the Withering flowers, and Nahida and the Traveler cleared the Withering Zone so the Fungi could recover it. After healing another elemental being, Nahida learned that the Fungi lived inside Apep and realized Forbidden Knowledge had left the Dendro Dragon gravely damaged.

  • The Fungi said they hoped to gather their companions’ elemental energy from the flowers and take them home, so Nahida and the Traveler cleared the Withering Zone.
  • The Fungi recovered the last known member of their clan’s elemental energy, while Nahida regretted that she had not prevented the loss.
  • Nahida transformed into a Fungi and, with the Traveler’s help, treated an unconscious elemental being guarded by its family.
  • The awakened being told Nahida that its home was inside the Dendro Dragon Apep, and the other Fungi confirmed that Apep had sheltered and created them.
  • Nahida realized Forbidden Knowledge had corrupted Apep and left a void in her body, and warned that Apep’s fall could release immense elemental energy into the world.

Ch. 66The Arrangement of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata

Nahida and the Traveler traced the Core Flame’s origin to an elemental lifeform hidden beneath The Chasm, who explained how Greater Lord Rukkhadevata had prepared it to save Apep. He revealed that using the Core Flame could restore Apep and Sumeru, but warned them not to use it again because it was fragile.

  • Nahida explained that Apep’s elemental energy could make Sumeru’s rainforest grow out of control, and she and the Traveler searched for clues while helping the Fungi.
  • Nahida recounted how the Sky Nail had turned Sumeru into a desert and how Apep’s hatred of the gods and corruption by Forbidden Knowledge had followed.
  • A Fungi remembered a family member who had stored away the apocalypse and led the search to the depths beneath The Chasm.
  • The Traveler used the Core Flame to awaken the elemental lifeform, who mistook Nahida for Greater Lord Rukkhadevata and explained that he had preserved memories the apocalypse would erase.
  • The elemental lifeform revealed that Greater Lord Rukkhadevata had created the Core Flame to imitate Apep’s Heart of the Oasis and restore the Dendro Dragon and her homeland.
  • The elemental lifeform warned Nahida and the Traveler never to use the fragile Core Flame again after they had used it to awaken him.

Ch. 67Apep's Stubbornness

Nahida and the Traveler reached Apep in the desert and tried to persuade her to accept help, but she refused and disappeared. They then encountered mutated Elemental Lifeforms, and Nahida used the Core Flame to restore them despite the risks.

  • An Elemental Lifeform sacrificed itself after guiding Nahida and the Traveler toward Apep, and the Traveler rescued a small amount of its energy and merged it into another lifeform.
  • Apep reflected on the new Elemental Lifeforms born inside her, then let them continue without inviting them to meet her.
  • Nahida, the Traveler, and the Elemental Lifeforms followed the Core Flame into the desert and encountered Apep, who rejected Nahida’s offer of help and vanished into the sands.
  • Mutated Elemental Lifeforms attacked the group, and Nahida learned that the Core Flame could restore them but using it again carried great risks.
  • Despite the other Elemental Lifeforms’ objections, Nahida chose to use the Core Flame, restoring the mutated lifeforms to elemental forms so they could merge into another Elemental Lifeform.

Ch. 68We're Going Home

Nahida and her companions reached Apep and entered the Heart of the Oasis, where the shattered Core Flame left Nahida ready to sacrifice her memories and identity to cleanse it. An Elemental Lifeform stopped her by offering the group’s own elemental energy, and the chapter ended as they prepared to save their home.

  • Nahida urged Apep to stop clinging to hatred and face the lives she had brought forth, while the Silver Dragon King watching the Sky Screen reflected on her own hatred and the Soul Beast Clan.
  • The Core Flame brought Nahida and Paimon into Apep’s body, where the group was separated and the two found the corrupted Heart of the Oasis.
  • Nahida’s Core Flame shattered as she tried to cleanse the Heart, so she explained that she could reverse her growth and use her own power, at the cost of her memories, emotions, and form.
  • Paimon pleaded with Nahida not to sacrifice herself, but Nahida began releasing her elemental energy to cleanse the Heart of the Oasis.
  • The Traveler arrived with two Elemental Lifeforms, and one of them took Nahida’s place, calling on the others to return their elemental energy to their home.

Ch. 69The Akasha Rebooted

Nahida and the Traveler defeated the Guardian of the Heart of the Oasis, while Apep explained that the elemental life-forms had become energy and might be reborn without their memories. Back on Douluo Planet, the faith Nahida received from Soul Beasts let her rebuild the Akasha, whose arrival weakened the Divine Realm’s influence and lifted the Dragon God’s curse.

  • Nahida and the Traveler defeated the corrupted Guardian as the elemental life-forms’ voices faded, and Apep said they might be born again after merging into energy.
  • Nahida and the Traveler returned from Apep’s Domain, then told the waiting Fungi that their companion had gone home to protect them; Nur repeated the name she had left behind.
  • Soul Beasts across Douluo Continent began offering their faith to Nahida after seeing how she protected elemental life-forms, giving her enough power to complete the Akasha.
  • Nahida restored the Akasha across Douluo Planet, enabling remote communication as Tighnari, Collei, Xiao Wu, and others tested their terminals.
  • The Akasha overwrote Douluo Planet’s original rules, weakening the Divine Realm’s influence and removing the Dragon God’s curse; the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King no longer felt doomed by his million-year tribulation.

Ch. 70The Return of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata

The Akademiya won third place, and the Sky Screen resurrected Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, who reunited with Nahida and affirmed her as Sumeru’s Grass God. The Sky Screen then revealed the Hexenzirkel in second place, leaving Little Durin mourning his deceased mother, Witch M.

  • Little Durin mourned Witch M and looked at the pen she had left him.

Ch. 71Demon Dragon Durin

The Sky Screen showed how Rhinedottir created Durin, whose innocent wish to find friends brought disaster to Mondstadt before Dvalin killed him. Witch M, Anya, rejected his tragic ending and began writing him a new destiny, leading into a gathering of the Hexenzirkel.

  • Ouyang Kong asked Greater Lord Rukkhadevata about the Hexenzirkel, and she said she knew some secrets from her time governing Irminsul.
  • The Sky Screen showed Rhinedottir creating Durin and Durin flying toward Mondstadt, unaware that his Abyssal nature spread calamity wherever he went.
  • Scaramouche comforted Little Durin, reminding him that he had chosen a different path and forged a new fate.
  • Barbatos woke Durin from his dream, and Dvalin pierced his neck; Durin realized the truth before falling in the mountains, where his heart continued to beat.
  • Apep sympathized with Dvalin's suffering from Durin's poisonous blood and traced the Abyss's origin back to Nibelung bringing its power from beyond the world.
  • Witch M, Anya, began writing Durin a new destiny, and the Sky Screen showed her gathering with Alice, Barbeloth, and Rhinedottir at the Witches' Tea Party.

Ch. 72The Witches' Tea Party

At the Witches' Tea Party, Anya asked the witches to help rewrite the fate of her character, Durin, and they devised a plan involving prophecy, alchemy, magic, and her unfinished story. Alice agreed to create magic that would continue writing from Anya’s words after she was gone, while the gathering ended with Anya wondering when she too would be absent.

  • Anya resolved to give her story’s Durin a different fate, but Barbeloth prophesied that his name bound him to Durin’s fate.
  • Alice persuaded Barbeloth and Rhinedottir to help Anya challenge fate, and each offered a way to support the plan.
  • Anya proposed grafting her final story onto Durin’s unfulfilled fate, but the prophecy was several hundred years away and she did not have enough time.
  • Anya asked Alice to send her pen into the future, so Alice offered to create story-writing magic that would learn from the text Anya left behind.
  • The witches discussed absent members, including J, O, and N, and Anya said she felt wistful about one day missing the gathering herself.

Ch. 73Simulanka

The Sky Screen began showing Simulanka, the story world Witch M, Anya, had created for Durin, while the Traveler learned about its prophecy and looming troubles. Elsewhere, Yu Xiaogang enlisted Liu Erlong to steal the Nine Crowns of the True Dragon, and the Asura God took over Tang Chen’s body before leaving to seek Nahida.

  • Yu Xiaogang asked Liu Erlong to steal the Nine Crowns of the True Dragon, and she agreed despite his house arrest.
  • Tang Xiao revived Tang Chen with the Teyvat Fried Egg, but the Asura God then took over Tang Chen’s body and departed to find Nahida.

  • Nilou asked Elder Almond to investigate beneath the Ink-Colored Tavern, while Padisarah ran off and Elder Almond chased after her.
  • Greater Lord Rukkhadevata explained that creating or changing life violated Teyvat's laws and recounted Egeria's actions and Fontaine's prophecy.
  • Nilou danced before the faded Ink-Colored Tavern and blessed it, restoring its color and bringing the building and its Origami Animals back to life.

Ch. 75Inazuma's Yokai

The Sky Screen showed Nilou, the Traveler, and Paimon continuing their adventure in Simulanka with Kirara, while people across Douluo Continent discussed Inazuman yokai and the divide between humans and Soul Beasts. After restoring the fallen stars, she urged the people to choose their future for themselves, but the conservatives remained afraid to lose the goddess’s protection.

  • Asura God hurried to Sea God Island after seeing the Sky Screen, while Ouyang Kong and Little Durin admired Navia’s optimism despite her hardships.
  • Navia told the Traveler, Nilou, and Paimon that the Evil Dragon had knocked stars from the sky, monsters had invaded, and the Goddess of Prophecy’s magic was disrupting the city.
  • Navia and the others freed Toy Block People trapped by the goddess’s magic, and Navia stopped a guard from chasing a fleeing conservative.
  • After receiving no new guidance from the Goddess of Prophecy, Navia and the Traveler rode a Sky Train to hang the collected stars back in the sky while Nilou supported them from below.
  • Navia refused to turn the gears before the people were ready and argued that the Goddess of Prophecy wanted Simulanka’s people to make their own choices.
  • The conservatives said they understood Navia’s reasoning but feared they could not manage without the goddess’s power.

Ch. 77Radiant Sacred Dragon Luo Sanpao

Navia helped the Toy Block People of Star-Track Royal City find courage and restart their giant music box, while Liu Erlong sacrificed herself to awaken Yu Xiaogang’s Nine Crowns of the True Dragon. The crowns transformed Luo Sanpao into a Radiant Sacred Dragon who broke free of Yu Xiaogang, and the chapter ended with Little Durin calling Scaramouche a hero.

On Sea God Island, Tang Chen refused to stay with Bo Saixi, and Durin remained afraid that the world would reject him.

  • Scaramouche dispelled the fog, called the Evil Dragon by his name, Durin, and chased him after the platform collapsed; Kirara caught the Traveler and Scaramouche.
  • Scaramouche told the Traveler, Navia, Nilou, and Kirara that he had been chosen to save Durin, so they went below the platform to seek answers.
  • Asura God withdrew his divine sense from Tang Chen, reclaimed the Asura Divine Sword, restored Tang Chen’s health, and ended his eligibility to inherit a god’s legacy.
  • Ouyang Kong urged Poseidon to bring Bo Saixi and Tang Chen together, but Tang Chen refused to remain on Sea God Island, disappointing Bo Saixi before he left.

  • Nilou asked Durin whether he truly wished to live alongside Simulanka’s people, and he affirmed that he did.
  • Nilou, Navia, Kirara, Scaramouche, and the Traveler each gave Durin a blessing that connected him to Simulanka and its people.
