The three men walked out of the airship base. Zhang Tie waved, and a fruit-green steam taxi pulled over. He had Zhu Dabiao sit in front, while he and Cangwu took the back seat.
Once inside, Cangwu shifted awkwardly twice, his expression slightly stiff. Compared to him, Zhu Dabiao found it all rather novel, while Zhang Tie remained perfectly at ease.
"Where are you headed?" the slightly balding taxi driver, a man in his fifties, asked as he turned around.
"Take us to Tigerhold City's biggest fresh goods market," Zhang Tie said familiarly.
"Oh, the biggest fresh goods market in Tigerhold City is at White Sand Bay, south of Tigerhold Harbor. It's pretty far from here—more than forty kilometers. It'll cost two silver coins!" The driver named his price. If they could not agree on it, the passengers would have to get out.
"No problem. Let's go," Zhang Tie said with a smile.
Hearing that, the driver promptly set off. The fruit-green taxi gave a gentle jolt and began to roll.
"You're really going to buy seafood?" Zhu Dabiao turned around and asked Zhang Tie seriously.
"Didn't I tell you? That really is what I came to Tigerhold Harbor to do this time," Zhang Tie explained.
Although he had already told Zhu Dabiao and Cangwu before they came, neither of them believed Zhang Tie had truly come to Tigerhold City to buy animals for release. That was why both had followed him here out of curiosity.
"Hahaha, now that's something new..." Zhu Dabiao's eyes shifted. "If it really works as well as you say, I'll give it a try too and see whether Gaya starts looking at me differently!"
"As long as you persist, you'll see results," Zhang Tie told him.
"Really?"
"Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth!"
