Their offensive in the surface world could be seen as an encirclement campaign against the outskirts of Great Xia and the Eastern Continent, while their attack in the Earth Element Realm was intended to make flowers bloom at the very heart of Great Xia.
By this point in the Holy War, both fronts were in full blaze. One only had to look at those subcontinents where beacon fires never ceased, and at the increasingly generous treatment Lion Fortress offered its stationed knights, to know it.
Compared with the front aboveground, the underground front was even crueler and fiercer, because those who could enter the First Abyss and wage bloody battles against the Devil Race were at minimum human knights. Even Battle Spirit-level experts were somewhat out of their depth in the First Abyss.
