Chen Ming destroyed the remnant soul hidden in the Ten Thousand Souls Banner and mastered the fragment. In Heaven Path Space, he discovered that the Heavenly Canopy was another part of the banner, hid a clone there, and prepared to use the Soul Spirit Pen.

• Chen Ming trapped the remnant soul with lightning and Soul-Locking Chains, then killed it with a Thunder Slash so the Ten Thousand Souls Banner could devour it.
• Chen Ming concluded that remnants of the banner's former master might inhabit its scattered fragments, and he recognized that the fragment he held was now fully purged and mastered.
