Uchiha Chen challenged Uchiha Itachi at Training Ground No. 7 and completed his mission by defeating Itachi’s Shadow Clone, earning Uchiha Shurikenjutsu. After the reward helped him surprise Itachi and Shisui with a wire-and-Kunai attack, Chen appeared behind Itachi, leaving both Uchiha watching him with suspicion and surprise.
Uchiha Chen and Uchiha Itachi’s fight was interrupted by Uchiha Izumi, and an explosion left Itachi blushing after he accidentally landed on her. Chen’s system then assigned him a mission involving Uchiha Shisui, and Chen began planning how to beat him.
Uchiha Chen set a trap to challenge Uchiha Shisui and managed to catch him by combining transformation, smoke, and a wired substitution log. The chapter ended with Uchiha Shisui bound and slammed to the ground.
Uchiha Chen learned that the system had revoked its Flying Thunder God reward after revealing that he had only defeated Uchiha Shisui’s Shadow Clone. Shisui remained suspicious of Chen’s skills and went with him to inspect the materials his parents had left behind.
Uchiha Shisui tested Uchiha Chen’s chakra nature, cleared his suspicions, and gave him training materials for the Great Fireball Technique. After Shisui left, Chen learned how the system’s ability levels worked, then received a hunt mission targeting an unspecified person.
Uchiha Chen accepted a system mission to kill twenty bandits and left Konoha to hunt them. After killing nineteen, he discovered that Orochimaru had been hiding among them.
Uchiha Chen encountered Orochimaru after killing the bandits and had to fight to escape. Orochimaru left believing Chen was dead, while the system erased the Cursed Seal and hinted it could make further adjustments.
Uchiha Chen received an Asauchi and the Shadow Clone Technique after escaping Orochimaru, then impressed Shisui and Itachi by using an unusually large Great Fireball. The chapter ended as Shisui asked how much chakra Chen had left and the system began a new notification.
Uchiha Chen received a mission to defeat the Third, Sarutobi Hiruzen, and began devising a way to complete it despite the overwhelming gap in strength. Meanwhile, Orochimaru demanded more test subjects from Danzo to improve his Cursed Seal, and Danzo resolved not to remain dependent on him.
Uchiha Chen challenged the Third Hokage to complete his system mission, then fought him at the Hokage's training ground. The Third Hokage easily countered Chen's opening attacks, but Chen's Shadow Clone attack began to reveal a surprise.
Uchiha Chen defeated Sarutobi Hiruzen with a foul-smelling weapon and earned the system’s challenge rewards, but an explosion from his newly strengthened fire technique left him unconscious. He woke in the hospital, where Sarutobi Hiruzen concealed his embarrassing defeat and offered to advise Chen on ninjutsu.
Uchiha Chen considered leaving Konoha to grow stronger and protect the people he cared about. After recovering, he intervened when three older boys bullied Hinata, then sensed killing intent as one of them charged at him.
Uchiha Chen rescued Hinata from a group of attackers and brought them to the Third Hokage, claiming they planned to steal her Byakugan. His account led Sarutobi Hiruzen to suspect Shimura Danzō, while Chen believed he had successfully turned suspicion against him.
Uchiha Chen obtained Flame Bullet from the Third Hokage and prepared to leave Konoha secretly to earn money and build a power base. Outside the village, he received bounty missions from the system and argued with it over the targets’ unreliable rank listings.
Uchiha Chen accepted a mission to protect Shion and her bell in the Land of Demons in exchange for the Flying Thunder God Technique, despite the system’s grotesque failure penalty. He reached an Underground Bounty Station and gained entry after defeating its guard, then followed a powerful, concealed observer inside.
Chen accepted the Land of Demons mission and several bounties, then intimidated the daimyo after arriving to escort the Shrine Maiden and retrieve the previous Shrine Maiden’s token. The daimyo offered an elite samurai unit, but Chen rejected them and warned the samurai not to draw their swords.
Chen met Shion and tried to persuade her to go to Moryo’s shrine by explaining that her mother, Miroku, had sacrificed herself above all to protect her daughter. Shion reconsidered, and a special system mission appeared, requiring Chen to kiss her to obtain the Sexy Technique.
Chen took Shion to the Shrine so she could see her mother, Miroku, but Yomi and his subordinates ambushed them on the way. Chen fought back and killed Banner with a Great Fireball Technique.
Chen fought Yomi’s group while protecting Shion, killing Kusuna and persuading Yomi to kill his own subordinates before turning on him. After Chen wounded Yomi, the system ordered him to kill Yomi or be buried alive.
Chen fought Yomi while protecting Shion, but Yomi escaped after Chen cut him down and triggered an explosion that dropped them into a chasm. Chen and Shion woke trapped beneath earth and rocks, with Chen holding her and warning her not to move.
Chen freed himself and Shion from their burial and brought her to the Shrine, where she reunited with her mother’s lingering consciousness and recovered her keepsake. Shion then offered Chen a position in the Land of Demons and revealed that the Shrine Maiden could command even the Daimyo and the country’s guards.
Uchiha Chen told Shion he planned to build his own power and eventually establish a shinobi village in the Land of Demons. Shion offered to help him and remained devoted to him, leaving Chen unsure how to respond to her trust.
Chen returned from the Land of Demons after arranging for Shion to build a force there, then came back to Konoha and resumed training. Shisui recognized that Chen had been away and exposed his Shadow Clone, causing the system to brand Chen a Konoha S-rank rogue ninja.
Chen told Shisui that Konoha’s growing rift with the Uchiha would lead to the clan’s destruction and accused Danzo and the Third Hokage of enabling it. The chapter ended with Chen asking Shisui to consider how little the Uchiha mattered to the Hokage.
Chen tried to convince Shisui that Danzo had helped cause several suspicious deaths and that the Uchiha could not coexist peacefully with Konoha. Shisui remained undecided but asked how Chen could leave the village, while Chen said he planned to take some Uchiha away in three years.
