Everyone else in the room knew what was going on. That group had started attacking Uzushio Village, while the others had come to watch the Land of Fire's movements—or perhaps to block the sea route from the Land of Whirlpools to the Land of Fire.
"Lord Hokage! They've already started. I request permission to set out and support them immediately!"
"Very well. Go tell all the Chunin and above in the village who are not on missions to assemble at the Hokage Office Building!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen acted swiftly, ordering the Anbu member to gather the ninja. Jiraiya spoke up.
"Lord Hokage, I think we should send those of us here as a vanguard to support them first, then send the assembled ninja after us."
"That's exactly what I had in mind. Jiraiya, Hyuga Shinichi, Nawaki, Inuzuka Gai, Aburame Tomohiro, heed my command! Set out immediately! Once you meet up with the ninja guarding the coast, head straight for the Land of Whirlpools. Kill anyone who tries to stop you!"

With that, the five people and one dog in the room rushed out of the Hokage Office. Only Sarutobi Hiruzen, Uzumaki Mito, and Uzumaki Kushina remained. Hiruzen looked at the two women, and Uzumaki Mito spoke first.
"Hiruzen, I'll look after Kushina. Go take care of your duties."
Sarutobi Hiruzen nodded.
"Thank you, Lady Mito."
Uzumaki Mito took Uzumaki Kushina to the Senju Clan Compound. On the way, Kushina held Mito's hand tightly, worry written on her face. Mito offered her some comfort.
