The Grandmaster Realm stands above Xiantian and below Martial Saint in the established martial hierarchy 2 57. A Complete Xiantian cultivator may cross into Grandmasterhood, but the breakthrough differs from prior advancements because it requires the creation of a personal world rather than only the strengthening of the body and true qi 356.

Grotto-Heaven

Creation of an Inner World

A Grandmaster opens a Grotto-Heaven within their body, becoming a self-contained world in miniature 199 356. The size, laws, time flow, spatial structure, and ecological complexity of that world depend on the cultivator’s power, knowledge, and design choices 356.

• Weak early Grandmasters may possess a Grotto-Heaven only as large as a star, with rudimentary greenery, gravity, and artificial celestial bodies 356.
• Ordinary Grandmasters can eventually develop their internal worlds step by step, while powerful Grandmasters may create Grotto-Heavens larger than ordinary worlds 199 356.
• A deceased Grandmaster’s Grotto-Heaven can remain as a secret realm, though it may collapse once its creator is gone 199.
• The Grandmaster Secret Realm beneath Xia Kingdom’s imperial capital was a world contained within a dead Grandmaster’s body 199.

Higher-Realm Evolution

The realm’s four stages are defined by the evolution of the Grotto-Heaven itself. At the Myriad-Realms Realm, Grandmasters can create inner worlds comparable to the myriad heavens and worlds; given sufficient capacity, those worlds may diverge into multiple universes governed by different laws 356.

Self-Sustaining Power

Grandmaster-level attacks consume such immense true qi that the spiritual energy of an entire star would still be insufficient to replenish the expenditure. Grandmasters therefore possess methods of self-sustaining, perpetual energy generation 301.

• Grandmaster true qi is treated as fundamentally different from lower-realm power 301.
• The ability to sustain oneself without external energy is part of the path through Half-Step Grandmaster 301.

Reality-Shaping Authority

Grandmasters can carve out hidden paradises within themselves and alter the structure of their internal worlds 313 356.

• Late-stage Grandmasters can establish worlds with differing laws, including worlds resembling magical, immortal-cultivation, martial, modern, or science-fiction settings 356.
• Peak Grandmaster battles are described as capable of annihilating hundreds of millions of star rivers with a thought 313.
• A Grandmaster’s inner world continues to influence their power: a larger and more developed Grotto-Heaven permits greater strength 355 375.

Relationship with Heavenly Will

Grandmasters are loathed by the Heavenly Will of the Universe Realm because each cultivator becomes a world unto themselves, potentially escaping the universe’s authority 199 365.

• Higher Grandmaster advancement may attract heavenly tribulation, which must be survived to progress 199 365.
• The threat is not merely symbolic: a sufficiently powerful Grandmaster could theoretically swallow the entire Universe Realm into their own Grotto-Heaven 199.
• The Universe Realm regards increasingly powerful martial artists as potential rebels who may overturn its rule 365.

Limitations

• Even Grandmasters remain “mortal” until they attain the Martial Saint Realm; no amount of gradual Grandmaster advancement alone reaches that other shore 362.
• Without Martial Saint attainment, Grandmasters remain subject to Heavenly Will’s lifespan suppression and cannot naturally live for tens of thousands of years 313.
• Martial Saints stand incomparably above Grandmasters: even every Grandmaster in the Universe Realm acting together could not bend a Martial Saint’s finger without considering special traits 281.
