Background

The Post-Heaven Realm formed through Ye Li's cultivation after he used the Ten-Turn Heavy Origin Technique to create an exceptional physical foundation before entering the realm. His perfect Body Tempering foundation allowed the bottleneck between Body Tempering perfection and Post-Heaven to require only a single point of experience to cross. 94 106

Unlike ordinary Post-Heaven practitioners, Ye Li's realm developed through consistently flawless breakthroughs under the influence of World-Shocking Wisdom. This perfection determined the quality of the Realm's eventual personification. 214 218

The Post-Heaven Realm first manifested independently in Ye Li's sea of consciousness when the Dragon Maiden attempted to enslave Ye Li with a soul mark. It intervened against her will, calling Ye Li “Master” and violently driving her back. 214

The Dragon Maiden's possession ritual was intended to make Ye Li regress alongside her under the effects of the age-reversing primordial sand. The Post-Heaven maiden's intervention revealed that his attained realm and power had not actually regressed. She subsequently joined the Body Tempering Realm in beating the Dragon Maiden's weakened remnant soul, punching and kicking her when she attempted to resist. 214 215

When Ye Li completed the realm, he opened twenty-seven remaining skull Bone Apertures simultaneously. The process caused an intense reaction in the personification, while the Body Tempering Realm watched with sympathy based on her own experience. Completion connected all 206 Bone Apertures and 362 flesh-and-blood acupoints, and yielded the purple-tier Gift of Post-Heaven. 218

During the Prodigy Grand Competition, the Post-Heaven and Body Tempering incarnations met Ye Li directly in a consciousness space. Post-Heaven prevented Body Tempering from accidentally exposing his secrets before the observing Grandmasters, urged him to reach the Grandmaster Realm, and then overwhelmed Ji Xun's and Du You's realm incarnations. Later, while Ye Li delayed his Xiantian breakthrough to finish the competition, she watched the newly born Xiantian Realm's strained condition with amusement. 255 262

She continued to exist after Ye Li advanced beyond Post-Heaven. During his Second-Transformation Xiantian tribulation, she experienced the lightning's effects together with Body Tempering and Xiantian. Later, while the other realms discussed their gifts, she quietly waited for Ye Li to become a Grandmaster. 309 366

Once Ye Li stabilized his Grandmaster Grotto-Heaven, the four realm personifications gained freedom to emerge into it. An azure light created the Post-Heaven Pavilion in a secluded valley, and she appeared alongside Body Tempering, Xiantian, and Grandmaster. Ye Li recognized her from their meeting during the Prodigy Grand Competition. 376

During their subsequent conversation, she explained how realm gifts were selected and discussed the potential of combining Legendary Traits. The four realms also urged Ye Li to kill the Dragon Maiden because the existence of other practitioners prevented him from perfecting the eighth layer of the Azure Dragon Deliverance Method. Ye Li refused to sacrifice her, distracted the realms, and allowed the Dragon Maiden to escape. Post-Heaven subsequently shared intimacy with Ye Li alongside the other three incarnations. 377 378

The Post-Heaven Realm appears as a girl within Ye Li's consciousness. She is not made of flesh and blood; her appearance reflects the quality of Ye Li's cultivation rather than a biological body. 214

Personality

The Post-Heaven Realm is fiercely loyal and protective toward Ye Li. Her immediate response to the Dragon Maiden's attempt to seize control of Ye Li's soul was to attack, and she recognized Ye Li as her master despite realm personifications normally being aloof toward their original bodies. 214

She also displays restraint around outsiders. When the Body Tempering Realm attempted to speak openly in a consciousness space observed by Grandmasters, the Post-Heaven Realm quietly covered her mouth rather than allow her to reveal anything. 255

Her attachment to Ye Li includes romantic and physical attraction. During the competition, she blushed while looking at his lips and considered kissing him, though she hesitated to act in the public consciousness space. Her anticipation of meeting him more freely remained evident as he approached and attained the Grandmaster Realm. 255 366 376

She has a teasing side toward the other incarnations. While Body Tempering worried that the newly born Xiantian Realm might be harmed by Ye Li's delayed breakthrough, Post-Heaven chuckled and treated the situation as an entertaining spectacle. 262

Her devotion can also be ruthless: she joined the other realms in recommending the Dragon Maiden's death to remove an obstacle to Ye Li's cultivation, despite his refusal to sacrifice her. 377

The maiden's resulting strike was described as possessing Martial Saint-level power; this did not mean that Ye Li had already reached the Martial Saint Realm. 214

Realm Suppression

The Post-Heaven incarnation can attack opposing realm personifications directly. During the Prodigy Grand Competition, she erased Ji Xun's and Du You's incarnations with a glance. Their destruction inflicted serious injuries on the two cultivators, demonstrating the superiority of Ye Li's cultivated realms in a direct realm clash. 255

Realm Mechanics

The Post-Heaven Realm marks the birth of internal energy and functions as a “class change” from pure physical cultivation. Internal energy can reinforce flesh and blood, though the resulting specialization depends on the practitioner's cultivation method. 107 110 116

Entry and Internal Energy

Internal force is formed from the union of the spiritual qi of heaven and earth, the body's qi and blood, and the divine soul. Entry into Post-Heaven occurs when the resulting true qi circulates through the Eight Extraordinary Meridians and gathers permanently within the dantian. 105 112

• Ordinary practitioners do not immediately gain a fundamentally different physical body upon entry; their initial increase in combat strength comes from reinforcing themselves with internal force. 107

For ordinary Xia Kingdom practitioners, Ye Li estimated an approximately threefold increase in combat power between successive Post-Heaven stages. Using Body Tempering perfection as a baseline of one, early Post-Heaven was approximately ten and Post-Heaven completion approximately 270. These were rough baseline estimates rather than universal limits on exceptional cultivators. 163

The enormous gap between Post-Heaven completion and Xiantian led earlier cultivators to establish three intermediate Half-Step Xiantian realms: Qi Gathering, Gang Transformation, and Pulse Condensation. Place Among Realm Personifications

Body Tempering, Post-Heaven, Xiantian, Grandmaster, and Martial Saint are described as distinct female realm concepts associated with cultivators. Each person's incarnation differs according to their cultivation quality; Ye Li's Post-Heaven maiden is exceptionally beautiful because his breakthroughs were flawless. 214

The Dragon Maiden explains that advancement to Martial Saint requires completely controlling the four preceding realms, including speaking their true names and releasing them. Ye Li's Post-Heaven incarnation acknowledging him as Master before that stage is therefore highly unusual. 214
