As time ticked by, Li Ang stayed hidden nearby.
The other elements in the area where he stood had been completely stripped away, leaving only Rock Element.
Li Ang continued waiting. Nearly half an hour passed before a brilliant light shot up from the Mecha Brigade.
A purple mecha leaped into the air and immediately sped off toward Eastsea City.
The Mecha Brigade held a very high position. They belonged to the Federation's military and were not under Eastsea City's jurisdiction.
As a brigade commander in the Mecha Brigade, Guang Biao was not only powerful but also a bona fide local bigwig in Eastsea City.
Most organizations would give someone like him some leeway.
And with the Federation backing him, few were willing to offend him.
When he heard that his younger brother had been grievously injured and had nearly died, Guang Biao was furious.
As he watched the terrifying purple mecha race toward Eastsea City, Li Ang stood silently, slowly raising his hand.
Little Black Dog appeared, its dark form emerging as it licked its paw and looked at Li Ang.
Little Butterfly appeared beside it, gently beating its wings before settling quietly on Li Ang's shoulder.
"You two, take it out. If you can, kill the person inside too."
Li Ang's voice was calm. There was no way these two little creatures could manage that on their own yet.
But with him there to protect them, things wouldn't go too badly.
At Li Ang's command, Little Black Dog's body suddenly swelled, transforming into a terrifying creature more than two meters tall.
A vast, abyss-deep surge of blood and qi gathered around it.
Then it leaped into the air and charged straight at the mecha overhead.
The mecha had been flying fast, but it slowed when it sensed an unknown object approaching.
Inside the cockpit, Guang Biao's eyes flickered with confusion.
The mecha's sensors reported that the approaching object was neither a powerful Soul Master nor any other known creature.
It was a strange sensation—a terrifying column of blood and qi surging skyward as it rushed straight toward him.
As Guang Biao pondered this, the figure suddenly accelerated.
It sprang upward, its body soaring nearly ten meters into the air, and bit down hard on the mecha flying at that height.
A terrifying bite force struck. The Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear's strength and jaws erupted with tremendous force.
The mecha's red warning lights flashed. But it was, after all, a genuine purple mecha.
And Guang Biao himself was a level-sixty Soul Emperor.
As his eyes flickered, three cannons emerged from the mecha.
They fired three level-four shells into Little Black Dog.
A tremendous explosion rocked the air, but Little Black Dog didn't loosen its bite at all.
It pressed downward, trying to drag the mecha to the ground.
Meanwhile, Little Butterfly, nearly transparent from head to toe, had already closed in.
It was even harder to detect than Little Black Dog. The mecha couldn't even sense its presence.
It wasn't using any anti-radar or anti-missile technology. Its body was simply equivalent to ordinary Thousand Refinement Grade One metal.
Little Butterfly crept closer without a sound. With Guang Biao's attention fixed entirely on Little Black Dog, its wings suddenly stiffened.
Like a pair of razor-sharp steel blades, they sliced across the mecha's chest and abdomen, cutting it clean in two.
Guang Biao stared at the sight in astonishment, but he reacted quickly.
He raised his hand, and a low dragon's roar rang out. His Martial Soul was Shell Dragon.
Terrifying scales appeared across his body, barely blocking Little Butterfly's strike, though a bloody gash still opened across his chest.
Little Butterfly's body seemed to teleport, sliding sharply to one side. At the sight of this strange creature, Guang Biao's expression finally changed.
His fifth Soul Ring suddenly lit up. Gathering his terrifying strength, he swung a punch straight at Little Butterfly.
The punch was fierce and fast.
But that terrifying force posed no threat to Little Butterfly. Its own weight alone was more than three tons.
Under those circumstances, the suction effect from Guang Biao's Soul Skill was completely useless as well.
Little Butterfly's body plummeted downward at incredible speed.
Watching it dodge his punch, a trace of confusion appeared in Guang Biao's eyes.
He was no top-tier Soul Emperor, nor was he a powerful expert from Shrek Academy.
In that respect, neither his fighting skills nor his strength could compare with Wu Zhangkong's.
He still didn't understand what was happening, or just how dangerous his situation was.
With the mecha sliced open, Little Black Dog planted its hind legs against it and opened its jaws.
Three full rows of fangs lined its mouth, sharp as a shark's teeth.
Its terrifying bite clamped down on Guang Biao.
Guang Biao's eyes narrowed. At first, he hadn't paid much attention.
But when Little Black Dog bit through his defenses, his expression finally grew grave.
Before he could react, his strength began to drain away.
Soul Power, blood and qi, even the essence of his flesh—all of it was swallowed by Little Black Dog.
It happened so suddenly, and it was so horrifying.
It was as if everything that belonged to him were being stripped away right before his eyes.
Guang Biao's gaze turned wild. Just as he tried to unleash his full strength, a fair hand rose slightly from the ground.
Li Ang had already unlocked the power in that hand—or rather, in that finger.
Terrifying power gathered within it.
He flicked his finger forward. A thunderous blast of compressed air rang out, and Guang Biao's head exploded.
The instant Guang Biao died, Little Black Dog devoured his corpse, making it disappear in moments.
Beside it, Little Butterfly began to fuse with the metal in the mecha.
Seeing one of them eat a man whole in under three seconds while the other turned an entire mecha into nourishment, Li Ang's mouth twitched.
"So it seems murder and arson aren't entirely out of the question. One can process metal, and the other can make a body disappear without a trace."
A smile touched Li Ang's face.
He beckoned gently, and Little Black Dog and Little Butterfly hurried back to him.
Looking at his two Guardian Beasts, Li Ang raised a hand and drew them back into his body.
Then he calmly headed toward the Eastsea City police station, where the Eastsea police were based—and where Guang Long was being held.
Guang Long was likely already dead, but Li Ang wouldn't give his opponent the slightest opening when he couldn't be sure.
Since he'd already done it, he might as well finish the job.
Only after killing Guang Long himself and letting Little Black handle the aftermath would he be able to rest easy.
Otherwise, after killing his older brother and grievously injuring him, he couldn't find peace knowing Guang Long might have a chance to grow stronger.
