Background

Xiao Wu originated in the Star Dou Great Forest, where she was the elder sister of Da Ming and Er Ming. As a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, she chose human transformation in order to learn how to live as a human, leaving the forest while still in the juvenile stage. In this form, her cultivation had reset and her Soul Beast aura could expose her to Titled Douluo seeking a powerful Soul Ring or soul bone. 66 84 98

She entered Nuoding Junior Spirit Master Academy as a work-study student. The academy believed that her parents had died and that she came from a poor family. 88 A mysterious Goddess Diary later appeared on her bed; its contents correctly identified her transformed status and human-form age, leaving her suspicious but convinced that its author did not intend her immediate harm. 84 85

Wang Jingyu won her trust by releasing a trace of Dragon Bloodline aura that she could sense as a fellow transformed Soul Beast. Believing him to be a pure-blooded Dragon-type Soul Beast and an elder connected to Da Ming, she accepted him as her “Big Brother” and left Nuoding with him. 86 95
