At seventeen, Bibi Dong is Spirit Hall’s Saintess and competes at Suotuo City’s Great Soul Arena. Initially portrayed as pure, kind, and innocent, she encounters Wang Jingyu’s indestructible Goddess Diary Instance, whose entries reveal that she is apparently a character in a novel and predict a tragic future tied to Yu Xiaogang and her teacher. The revelation leaves her furious, frightened, and determined to change her fate. 1 7

The diary rapidly changes her behavior toward Yu Xiaogang. She rejects his use of “Dong'er,” slaps him, kicks him, and repeatedly has Spirit Hall personnel remove or beat him when he refuses to leave her alone. 3 5 7 10 She begins pursuing Wang Jingyu instead, believing that his knowledge of the future makes him essential to avoiding her predicted tragedy. 7 8 16
