Background
Tang San is Tang Hao’s younger son and Tang Yu’s younger brother. While Tang Yu rose to prominence as Prince Wuyang, Tang San cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill at Shrek Academy and struggled with a bottleneck alongside the rest of the academy. 1 36
He initially placed great faith in Yu Xiaogang’s teachings and regarded Tang Yu as an enemy responsible for Shrek’s humiliation and Zhu Zhuqing’s removal from the academy’s circle. Tang Yu’s overwhelming Blue Silver power, however, caused Tang San to question both his own path and Yu Xiaogang’s theories. 45 52
Appearance
Tang San was known for his long blue hair, a visible marker of his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. After Tang Yu extracted that bloodline, his hair withered into yellow-gray and his body aged dramatically. 69
- He later received a reconstructed body from the Sea God and Asura God. 74
- During his final battle, he was left bloodied and covered in cracks from forcibly fusing the power of nine illusory rings. 77
Personality
Tang San is persistent and intensely protective of those close to him, particularly Xiao Wu. When Tang Yu’s gaze frightened Xiao Wu into hiding behind him, Tang San shielded her despite recognizing that his hidden weapons offered no real protection against such a superior opponent. 52
He is also pragmatic when survival demands it. Rather than directly challenge Tang Yu after Shrek’s defeat, he swallowed his pride and begged for mercy for Flender and Yu Xiaogang. 52 53
After his death and divine reconstruction, that pragmatism gave way to obsessive vengeance. His desire to kill Tang Yu became his sole motivation for accepting the Sea God’s trials and burning his own divine power in battle. 74 76 77
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San possessed the Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer martial souls. 45 67
- Blue Silver Emperor bloodline — Allowed him to identify himself as the ruler of Blue Silver Grass and attempt to draw life force from nearby plants. 69
- Bloodline limitation — Blue Silver Grass no longer responded to him after Tang Yu became the Blue Silver God, and Tang Yu ultimately stripped Tang San of the bloodline entirely. 69
- Clear Sky Hammer — His remaining martial soul after divine reconstruction; it was enhanced by Sea God divine power but shattered under Tang Yu’s grip. 74 76
Mysterious Heaven Skill
Tang San cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill while at Shrek Academy.
- He used it in attempts to overcome his cultivation bottleneck. 36
- After being severely injured, circulating the technique caused him extreme pain because his meridians had been shattered. 66 69
Hammer Techniques
- Chaotic Cloak Wind Hammer — Used in his final resistance against Tang Yu, both while crippled and after receiving divine power. 67 76
- Grand Sumeru Hammer — A final divine-power-infused attack formed after detonating all nine illusory rings; it was purified and destroyed by Tang Yu’s Blue Silver Divine Fire. 77
Hidden Weapons
Tang San retained concealed weapons as a last resort.
- Yama’s Invitation — A poison-based hidden weapon he attempted to use against Tang Yu while pinned beneath Tang Yu’s foot. Its attack was stopped before it could succeed. 69
- His hidden weapons provided no meaningful security when facing Tang Yu’s overwhelming power. 52
Sea God Divine Power
Following his resurrection, Sea God divine power repaired Tang San’s recreated body and fused with his Clear Sky Hammer. 74 76
- The Sea God and Asura God directed him to complete the Sea God’s Nine Trials and inherit a divine position. 74
- He burned his remaining Divine Realm origin and detonated nine illusory rings to force his strength toward godhood. 76 77
- The resulting power was insufficient against Tang Yu’s Fifth Soul Skill, Divine Extinction. 77
Relationships
- Tang Yu — Older brother and principal enemy. Tang Yu repeatedly defeated him, stripped his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, killed him once, and annihilated him permanently after his resurrection. 1 67 77
- Tang Hao — Father. Tang Hao worried that Yu Xiaogang’s guidance had damaged Tang San’s Blue Silver Emperor potential and sought resources to strengthen him. 36 47
- Ah Yin — Mother. Tang San believed he was acting for his family, but Tang Yu stated that Ah Yin had disowned him after being revived. 69
- Xiao Wu — Closest companion and someone Tang San consistently protected. He shielded her when he feared Tang Yu had discovered her soul beast identity. 52 63
- Yu Xiaogang — Teacher and the person whose theory Tang San’s cultivation was used to validate. Tang San continued to defend him even after Tang Yu exposed and defeated him. 45 67
- Flender — Dean of Shrek Academy. Tang San tried to save him after Flender and Yu Xiaogang were crippled fighting Tang Yu. 52
- Sea God and Asura God — Divine benefactors who reconstructed Tang San’s body and soul, then offered him a path to godhood and revenge. 74
Story Role / Major Arcs
Shrek Academy and the Wuyang conflict
Tang San trained at Shrek Academy as Tang Yu’s rise destabilized the group. After Tang Yu defeated Shrek’s leading figures, Tang San protected Xiao Wu and begged Tang Yu to spare Flender and Yu Xiaogang, only to be humiliated and driven away. 36 52 53
Flight and first death
Following Shrek’s collapse, Tang San fled with Xiao Wu while grievously injured. Tang Yu found him in a ruined temple, broke his last resistance, extracted his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, and reduced his body to ashes. 63 67 69
Divine resurrection
The Sea God and Asura God revived Tang San through forbidden Divine Realm power. Bereft of his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline but retaining the Clear Sky Hammer, he accepted the Sea God’s trials to gain strength for revenge. 74
Sea God Island and final annihilation
Tang San confronted Tang Yu on Sea God Island with a divine-enhanced Clear Sky Hammer. After Tang Yu shattered the hammer, Tang San detonated all nine illusory rings and pushed himself toward level 100, but Divine Extinction erased his final attack. Tang Yu then destroyed Tang San’s body and soul, ending him permanently. 76 77
