Background / History

A fragment of the Blue Silver Emperor's soul entered Li Han's Soul-Nurturing Wood Bead after he discovered the Blue Silver Emperor's cave. The fragment remained weak but actively used the bead's properties to recover. Li Han chose to keep it and wait for its awakening 29.

The fragment was identified by the system as Silver Moon's soul fragment, though Silver Moon later explained that it was the resentful obsession split from Ah Yin's soul. Ah Yin's other soul fragment remained in the Blue Silver Emperor's main body with her memories and attachment to human soul masters, while the fragment in Li Han's bead sought to use its soul-nourishing properties to restore itself 29 58.

Silver Moon herself was first encountered as a severely wounded juvenile Nine-Tailed Fox, no more than thirty centimeters long. Her snow-white fur had been stained crimson after an attack by a Three-Eyed Demon Wolf. Li Han saved her, fed her Spirit Feeding Pills, and offered continued pills in exchange for becoming his spirit pet 56.

After she accepted, Li Han formed a Spirit Pact with her through divine sense, blood, and Soul Power. The pact created a mental connection and bound Silver Moon to him; Li Han could detonate its mark to kill her if necessary. He named her “Silver Moon” after completing the pact 56.

While guarding Li Han at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, Silver Moon encountered Ah Yin's soul fragment. Her innate Soul Devouring ability caused her attempt to consume the fragment to become a soul fusion instead. Silver Moon retained control as the primary personality because she possessed the original body, while Ah Yin's remnant soul lacked a continuing source of power 57 58.

The fusion elevated her from a thousand-year soul beast to the ten-thousand-year level, let her temporarily take the form of a fox-eared girl, and granted her some Blue Silver Emperor abilities. Her appearance afterward was noted to resemble Ah Yin, though her fox ears and tail remained proof that Silver Moon remained herself 58 66.

At the Blue Silver Forest, Silver Moon used her inherited Blue Silver Emperor aura to summon the Blue Silver King. The Blue Silver Grass clan recognized her as its Empress, and the Blue Silver King restored her cultivation to thirty thousand years. The nourishment also further fused her fox body and soul with Ah Yin's inheritance, preventing their separation 65 66.

After Li Han later reconstructed his cultivation, Silver Moon voluntarily endured the sword-spirit formation and merged with the Bamboo Cloudswarm Swords. Although she retained her Nine-Tailed Fox and fox-eared forms, she thereafter became an inseparable part of Li Han's Martial Soul and could act through the swords 108 109 170.

Appearance

Silver Moon's original form is a small, snow-white Nine-Tailed Fox. After fusing with Ah Yin's remnant soul, she can temporarily become a fox-eared human girl. As Li Han's weapon spirit, she can still manifest independently in either form 109 170.

Personality

Silver Moon is food-motivated, expressive, and openly affectionate toward Li Han. Before accepting the Spirit Pact, she hesitated at becoming a pet, but Spirit Feeding Pills convinced her that the arrangement was worthwhile. After the pact, she felt closeness toward Li Han and became willing to act for him 56.

She is eager to demonstrate her value in battle, proudly volunteering to test Heavenly Fox Demon Fire against the Man Faced Demon Spider's web. She also shows concern for Li Han's safety, warns him when Xiao Ba is under attack, and fights to defend him while he refines baleful aura in Slaughter City 68 69 78.

Silver Moon is playful and mischievous, occasionally teasing Li Han even in serious circumstances, such as pretending that her sword-spirit fusion had failed. She is also highly dramatic and prone to extravagant flattery when praising him 92 109 170.

Despite complaining when Li Han assigns her work, she readily learns new skills to assist him. She accepted talisman crafting after initially protesting that he was making her perform hard labor, and she later steadily produced Fireball and Golden Light Talismans 114.

She can be jealous of Li Han's attention toward others, particularly Zhu Zhuqing, but still supports his efforts to protect and help them 136.

Sword Spirit Reconstruction

Silver Moon willingly becomes the sword spirit of Li Han's Bamboo Cloudswarm Swords. After teasing him by feigning failure, she proves the fusion successful by wielding the swords and using Life Force Transfer on his behalf, making her an enduring component of his Martial Soul through his subsequent cultivation reconstructions 108 109 170.

Blue Silver Domain

Over the following two and a half years, Silver Moon's cultivation rises past sixty thousand years. Her awakening Blue Silver Emperor bloodline grants her the Blue Silver Domain, providing Li Han with scouting, mental-defense, amplification, and suppression support as they depart to hunt his sixth soul ring 130.

Tang Hao Battle and Recovery

When Tang Hao attacks Li Han, Silver Moon transforms into a Nine-Tailed Fox and removes Xiao Wu from the battlefield while Xiao Ba carries Zhu Zhuqing away. After Li Han suffers catastrophic injuries from the Great Sumeru Hammer, Silver Moon uses her Blue Silver Domain and life-force abilities to save him, exhausting herself into slumber in the process 160 161 165.

Awakening in the Blue Silver Forest

Li Han brings the sleeping Silver Moon to the Blue Silver Forest after beginning his third cultivation reconstruction. In exchange for establishing a Spirit Gathering Formation for the Blue Silver Grass clan, he receives the Blue Silver King's aid in replenishing Silver Moon's life force and awakening her. She then resumes assisting Li Han in locating an eighty-thousand-year Lone Bamboo for his new first soul ring 170.
