"Yes, everything is ready," Hinata answered.
Hiashi nodded, fell silent for a moment, then said, "You'll be going with Naruto Uzumaki on this mission?"
Hinata's heart began to race. "Yes."
Hiashi looked at her, a trace of complicated emotion passing through his eyes. "That boy Naruto... what do you think of him?"
Hinata froze for a moment, not expecting her father to ask that question. She lowered her head, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Naruto-kun... is a wonderful person. He's strong, brave, and kind, and he's always fighting to protect others. I... I respect him very much."
Seeing his daughter's shy expression, Hiashi understood almost everything.
"In that case, I can rest easy," he said. "But remember, you are the eldest daughter of the Hyuga Clan's Main Family. You represent the clan's honor. Watch your words and conduct while you're away. Don't disgrace the Hyuga Clan."
"Yes, Father," Hinata replied respectfully.
Hiashi turned to leave, but stopped again. "And protect yourself. If you encounter danger, don't push yourself. Retreat before it's too late."
Hinata paused, then warmth welled up in her eyes. "Yes, Father."
Hiashi said nothing more and walked away.
Hinata watched her father's retreating figure, her heart full of gratitude. She knew that although he was stern on the surface, deep down, he cared about her.
She returned to her room, neatly refolded her traveling clothes, then took a small amulet from a drawer-a keepsake her mother had left her, said to keep its wearer safe.
She tucked the amulet close to her body, pressed her palms together, closed her eyes, and prayed silently.
She prayed that the mission would go smoothly.
She prayed that Naruto-kun would remain safe.
She prayed... that they would both return unharmed.
