Background / History

Ryūha is an Uchiha orphan and transmigrator whose academy records describe minimal chakra reserves, excellent theory grades, and consistently poor practical performance. His chakra rating was D-minus, making him an object of ridicule within a clan that valued strength above all else 1 4.

His original body's owner had ended his own life before the transmigration. Ryūha later tells Fugaku that his parents died fighting for the clan, yet their pension was reduced by thirty percent, while his own monthly resources amounted to only a third of those received by the main family 4.

During the Academy graduation examination, he faced the previously unbeaten Uchiha Setsuna. When Setsuna attacked with Great Fireball Technique, Ryūha activated the Shinigami Gacha System and used Kyōka Suigetsu to place Setsuna under an illusion, winning without apparent effort 1 2. The public display drew the attention of Uchiha Fugaku, Uchiha Yashiro, ANBU, and Root; Fugaku subsequently recruited him into the Police Force while keeping him under observation 3 4.

Root's Destruction and Defection

Ryūha accepts the summons while privately planning to defect after the attack on Konoha concludes, using his escort as an alibi and the incident to establish his faction's background. During the journey, the System confirms Danzō's death and Hiruzen's critical injury and rewards him with the King of Shadows title 47 52.

Sakumo reports that the attacker destroyed much of Root headquarters, claimed to be from Las Noches, accused Danzō of stealing the power of “Bleach,” and called Ryūha a Seireitei traitor. Konoha's authorities nevertheless issue a joint wanted notice classifying Ryūha as an S-rank rogue ninja. Sakumo holds the rear against ANBU while Ryūha escapes and discards his defaced forehead protector 52 53.

Founding and Expansion of Las Noches

His new rogue-ninja identity unlocks the King's Guard pool, and Ryūha permanently recruits Harribel through targeted summoning. When a twenty-person Konoha pursuit force surrounds his cave, he reveals that their confidence in his depleted chakra is itself an illusion; a golden slash then kills an attacking Inuzuka shinobi and his dog 54.

Return to Konoha and the Uchiha's “Rebirth”

After his defeat of the Five Kage Alliance, Ryūha returns to Konoha with masked Obito. He destroys the defensive barrier by touch, dismisses ANBU and Root resistance with minimal Reiatsu, and walks into the village as the defenders' resolve collapses 142.

At the Uchiha compound, he confronts Itachi before the planned extermination. Ryūha condemns Itachi's obedience to the elders, demonstrates that his Mangekyō cannot defeat Complete Hypnosis, and puts him to sleep with a promise that he will witness the clan's “rebirth” 143.

The ensuing intervention includes Sharingan collection and severe violence against the clan, but Ryūha explicitly states that he has left some three-tomoe Uchiha alive. Sasuke witnesses the devastated compound and the helpless condition of his family.
