Natsume was somewhat bewildered and immediately pressed further.
"Then what was that impostor at the beginning? What was that [Spiritual Desire Avatar]?"
"He was a virtual avatar created by copying part of your memories. He was not your Spiritual Desire Avatar."
"Of course, he believed himself to be your Spiritual Desire Avatar..."
Natsume froze again.
So the guy who had been battling wits with him for so long was not actually his Spiritual Desire Avatar.
He really was just an impostor!
Like everyone else in the simulated world, he was merely a collection of data. He had simply been stuffed with a portion of Natsume's memories...

The other party seemed to see through Natsume's doubts.
It asked proactively, "Can you feel desire?"
