Comprehensive Anime: My Five Senses are Linked with the Top Daughters of All Worlds Chapter 24
Outside the elevator doors was an incredibly vast, plaza-like space.
Eriri, stumbling out of the elevator, unconsciously looked up.
The girl's pupils reflected a dome flowing with starlight. The underground space, as large as a football field, was suspended with countless diamond-shaped crystals, and pale blue streams of light surged through transparent pipes like a galaxy.
She then looked down at the ground beneath her feet. It was made of a material completely impossible to identify, seeming like some kind of alloy, yet also like marble.
Streams of light also flowed along specific trajectories on the ground, with directional markers made of light and shadow in some areas.
What shocked Eriri speechless was the ubiquitous equipment she couldn't understand at all.
Were those moving metal boxes robots? Why could they float and fly around without wheels?
Why did someone disappear after just a flash of light when they stepped onto that platform over there?
And those stairs, escalators, and various passages suspended in mid-air – they looked like special effects, but why could people and equipment move freely on them?
Too many unknowns turned Eriri's brain into mush.
"Even if it's not the first time seeing it, it's still incredibly unbelievable," Utaha Kasumigaoka said softly. "This place is like an alien base from a sci-fi movie. If you told me you were the leader of aliens planning to invade Earth, I'd believe you, junior!"
Is that all that shocks you? If you saw the starport now, wouldn't you be too astonished to sleep?
Jiang Lianqiu reached out and patted Eriri's head. "Snap out of it, Otaku Eriri."
"Mmm..."
This time, Eriri, uncharacteristically, didn't say anything about the "Otaku Eriri" nickname. She just looked at Jiang Lianqiu with eyes full of intense unease and confusion.
"Qiu... Qiu-ge... what exactly is this place?"
The little girl's voice trembled, and she looked on the verge of tears, making her look incredibly pitiable.
"Don't be scared," Jiang Lianqiu pinched Eriri's soft cheek again. "Don't worry, everything here belongs to me, and they are all my... subordinates?"
"Since I chose to bring you here, I naturally intend to tell you some things – let's pick a place to calm down first."
With Jiang Lianqiu's comfort, Eriri finally calmed down, but she still shyly clung to him, following him forward.
Eriri wasn't the only one who was stunned; Utaha Kasumigaoka was too.
Nearly half an hour later, in a lounge, the two girls sat on the sofa, staring dumbfounded at Jiang Lianqiu, who was leisurely sipping tea opposite them, with Belfast standing behind him.
After a long pause, Eriri swallowed hard and asked, "So, Qiu-ge, you're actually an alien!?"
"It's not entirely wrong if you want to put it that way..."
As soon as Jiang Lianqiu finished speaking, Eriri's face turned pale with shock as she clutched it. "It's over! Is there still a chance for us!? Can humans and aliens have children!"
Jiang Lianqiu: "?"
Belfast stumbled.
Utaha Kasumigaoka turned to Eriri with an expression of utter amazement.
"What are you always thinking about?" Jiang Lianqiu rolled his eyes, relieved internally. Asking such a silly question meant the girl had accepted it.
Eriri pouted and complained in a low voice, "Why didn't Qiu-ge... last night... I was already able to..."
Utaha Kasumigaoka's ears twitched. Recalling the kiss mark on Eriri's collarbone she had seen at noon, she unconsciously started to jiggle her legs.
"What is this? It seems I was right. I thought evil gods were already outlandish enough, but I didn't expect there to be someone even more powerful..."
The literary girl sighed.
"Evil gods? What evil gods?" Eriri asked back.
Jiang Lianqiu had only vaguely introduced his identity just now; he hadn't formally told Eriri about the evil gods yet.
Thus, in the next few minutes, Eriri, whose worldview had been shattered once and who had just managed to establish a new one, was, as expected, stunned again.
