Background and History

Early life

Kiana is Cecilia and Jiang Lianqiu’s biological daughter and Bianka’s twin. Although the sisters’ physical development initially resembles that of ordinary children, their mental development is unusually rapid; by just over a year old, Kiana can speak fluently and actively schemes to fight Honkai Beasts herself 580.

Unlike the more academic Bianka, Kiana is physically exceptional but poor at book learning. Even as a toddler, she can overpower her twin in a scuffle, while Bianka notes that Kiana cannot yet recognize all twenty-six letters 580.

Kiana suddenly develops spatial powers, which she proudly calls her “superpower.” Her first attempt leaves her stuck in a wall, but she soon uses the ability to teleport both herself and Bianka from St. Freya to Siberia 581. A Honkai Beast later submits to her without explanation, and Jiang Lianqiu finds a developing Void core inside her 586.

Her Void-like abilities do not come from Sirin’s genes. They are later revealed to originate from information Constance Dahlia preserved while erasing obsolete world-history data; that information was reflected onto Kiana, allowing her to inherit part of another timeline’s Kiana’s power 663.

Runaway from St. Freya

Kiana runs away from St. Freya Academy to escape schoolwork and Cecilia’s scolding. She leaves with a backpack containing snacks, a Homu doll, a pink rabbit wallet, and a zero-score math paper, but quickly becomes lost and hungry in Nagazora City 594 595.

After unsuccessfully trying to pay for a deluxe crepe with insufficient money, she is helped by Raiden Mei. Kiana bluntly introduces herself as a runaway, while Mei recognizes that she is a sheltered, spoiled girl rather than someone fleeing mistreatment 596. Mrs. Raiden subsequently gives Kiana a room and arranges work for her at Moon Primrose Café, at Jiang Lianqiu’s request, so that Kiana can learn independence 597.

During this period, Kiana befriends Mei and responds to Mei’s emotional isolation with straightforward praise and protection, offering to “beat up” anyone who hurts her 601.

Ascension to Finality

Though initially weaker than the other Herrschers gathered for battle, Kiana is central to Jiang Lianqiu’s plan. Following Sa’s defeat, he offers her the opportunity to become the Herrscher of Finality; Kiana immediately agrees, partly because she wants to surpass Bianka and make her acknowledge Kiana as the older sister 664 671.

Kiana absorbs a Stellaron and enters a Cocoon connected to the Imaginary Tree. While encased, she receives knowledge related to Honkai and Finality, then emerges with the authority of the Herrscher of Finality and an instinctive ability to travel wherever she wishes 671 674.

Kiana is a white-haired, blue-eyed young woman whose appearance is repeatedly described as delicate and striking. Her signature hairstyle consists of silver-white twin braids, and she is often associated with casual clothing, white stockings, and sneakers 594 674.

Personality

Kiana is impulsive, energetic, competitive, and intensely proud of even small accomplishments. She often calls herself “this young lady,” loudly declares her confidence, and is eager to prove herself stronger than Bianka or anyone else around her 580 671.

Her confidence is undermined by profound naivety. Raised almost entirely within Schicksal and St. Freya, she initially has little practical understanding of money, travel, work, or ordinary student life. Her runaway experience exposes this sheltered upbringing, but also sparks genuine curiosity about the lives of people outside her home 595 596.

Despite her lack of discipline and tendency to avoid studying, Kiana is emotionally resilient. When an unknown voice attempts to tempt her with hatred and false memories, she rejects it rather than accepting its version of her past 603. She also becomes serious when friends may be endangered, worrying that her unstable power could hurt Mei or Seele 782.

Kiana is affectionate and dependent around Jiang Lianqiu and Cecilia, but can also become embarrassed and evasive as she grows more aware of her feelings and of changes in herself 607 706 780.

Kiana and Bianka use Kiana’s newly awakened spatial power to leave St. Freya and search for Jiang Lianqiu. They arrive amid the Siberian Honkai crisis, where Kiana’s unusual influence over a Honkai Beast and her forming Void core first become apparent 581 586.

Nagazora runaway and Moon Primrose Café

Kiana flees St. Freya, gets lost in Nagazora, meets Mei, and is placed under Mrs. Raiden’s care. Her work at Moon Primrose Café becomes her first sustained exposure to ordinary responsibilities and life outside Schicksal 595 597 598.

Herrscher of Finality transformation

Jiang Lianqiu chooses Kiana as the new Herrscher of Finality. By absorbing a Stellaron and entering the Cocoon, she reaches the Imaginary Tree and emerges with Finality’s authority 671 674.

Cocoon and Fortress conflict

Kiana joins Mei, Bronya, Himeko, Seele, and others in battles surrounding the Cocoon of Finality. She coordinates Void Portals in fleet combat, discovers a hidden fortress by tearing open space, and opens its gate through her connection to Finality 744 754 755.

Tree of Existence training

After her Stigmata becomes unstable, Kiana undergoes Herta’s testing and begins studying with Nahida. Her training focuses on safely handling the Tree of Existence’s information flow and learning to communicate with it without losing herself 781 782 798.
