Happy Horseplay

"We never expected to run into something like this when we came out today. I really don't feel much like doing anything now!"

"If our squad leader hadn't been here today, we'd really have died."

"I still can't figure out where that monster came from. Just thinking about it gives me chills."

The three girls furrowed their brows and spoke in hushed voices.

After all, none of these kids had ever been on a battlefield or seen anything like this. The incident had really shaken them.

"All right, all right. The important thing is that we're all safe. Let's go back to where we were before. I'm sure that monster has disappeared for good."

Uchiha Matsuzaki straightened his clothes, then said with a smile.

They soon returned to the spot where they had been eating and sat down together in a circle once more.

But things were completely different now. They were still shaken and didn't dare let their guard down.

"I'm afraid things won't be as peaceful as they used to be. Now that monsters like this have appeared, I'm sure there'll be more of them."

"And you all saw it just now. Even though I'm pretty strong, I still couldn't do a thing against that kind of monster."

"If it weren't for Zixue today, we might all have died here."

Uchiha Matsuzaki looked at them, his brows lightly furrowed as he spoke in a low voice.

"Actually, I was just lucky to spot that monster's weakness."

"But these monsters definitely don't appear for no reason. I'm sure someone is pulling the strings behind the scenes."

Chestnut Snow glanced around and spoke softly.

Uchiha Matsuzaki understood now that this world was no longer the same one he had known. Not only had these monsters appeared, but there were also many other unknown things.

"What in the world is going on?"

"A monster that's never appeared before showed up today, and it can regenerate. If we stay as weak as we are now, I'm afraid we really won't be able to fight them."

"If things really are as Zixue just said, then these monsters will probably keep getting stronger."

Uchiha Matsuzaki gazed up at the blue sky and thought to himself.

"Honestly, today was supposed to be a happy day, but after all that happened, I'm not in a great mood!"

Yamamoto Takeshi clenched his fists tightly as he spoke.

Uchiha Matsuzaki saw how downcast all his companions looked.

"All right, all right. Weren't you pretty brave just now? You stood in front of the girls. I never would've guessed you had it in you!"

"What's wrong? Are you scared now that you've had time to think about it?"

Uchiha Matsuzaki patted Yamamoto Takeshi on the shoulder and said with a smile.

"How could I be scared? I'm a man! How could something this small scare me?"

Yamamoto Takeshi sounded a little unsure as he spoke.

"Yamamoto, a monster's appeared!"

Uchiha Matsuzaki suddenly shouted at Yamamoto Takeshi.

"Ah! Matsuzaki, help!"

Yamamoto Takeshi instinctively hid behind Uchiha Matsuzaki, speaking in fear.

Just then, all four of them burst out laughing.

"I was just messing with you! You actually fell for it! Haha!"

Uchiha Matsuzaki laughed as he spoke to Yamamoto Takeshi behind him.

Only then did Yamamoto Takeshi realize what had happened. He slowly returned to his seat and sat down.

"Damn it, Matsuzaki,"

Yamamoto Takeshi muttered.

The others laughed again when they saw that.
