Background / History

At the academy's reopening, Takeshi reunites with his friend Uchiha Matsuzaki. He is immediately protective of Matsuzaki when Uchiha Kawazo and his companions threaten him, though Matsuzaki remains calmer than Takeshi expects. 14 15

Takeshi openly states that he wants to join the Anbu because of its reputation for elite shinobi. He ultimately achieves that ambition, receiving an Anbu support assignment in Matsuzaki's team and eagerly returning home to share the news with his parents. 32 47 51
