Coma

The entire arena fell silent for a moment, only to erupt into a roar of passionate cheers.

"The third match, Uchiha Matsuzaki, winner!"

Seeing Uchiha Matsuzaki defeat the puppet, the proctor stood up and shouted excitedly.

While everyone else was caught up in the fervor, Chestnut Snow and the others cried out in worry.

"Matsuzaki."

"Matsuzaki-kun."

"Team leader!"

Seeing Uchiha Matsuzaki collapse amidst the dust, Chestnut Snow and the others rushed over.

Looking at the battered and bruised Uchiha Matsuzaki, the corners of their eyes grew slightly damp.

The four of them, along with the medical staff, rushed Uchiha Matsuzaki to the hospital for treatment.

He remained in a coma, but since no vital organs were damaged, there were no major issues.

He would be able to be discharged after two weeks of rest.

Chestnut Snow and the others were still very uneasy at this time, as Uchiha Matsuzaki had yet to regain consciousness.

"I never thought Matsuzaki would be so severely injured this time."

"Yeah, once he's discharged, we must celebrate for him. If it weren't for him, we really wouldn't have had the chance to enter the Anbu!"

Yamamoto Takeshi and the others whispered among themselves.

Uchiha Matsuzaki was lying on a hospital bed, both arms wrapped in bandages; his ribs were fine, but he could not engage in strenuous exercise.

Although he was currently in a coma, his life was not in danger.

Time ticked by, and in the evening, Uchiha Matsuzaki's mother and younger sister arrived at the ward.

"Auntie, don't worry. Although Matsuzaki-kun is in a coma, there is nothing wrong with his body."

"Mm, this child is always like this, there's really no helping it. Since there are no major issues, you all should go back first. Let me take care of him here; you've all been tired for a whole day."

Uchiha Matsuzaki's mother and Chestnut Snow stood by the hospital bed, whispering to each other.

"Auntie, it's fine. We can stay here. Doesn't his sister have school tomorrow?"

"We aren't tired, and we can take good care of Matsuzaki-kun here."

Seeing how determined Chestnut Snow was, Uchiha Matsuzaki's mother slowly agreed.

"Alright then, I'll come back tomorrow morning."

"Take care, Auntie."

And so, they stayed by Uchiha Matsuzaki's side, keeping watch for the entire night.

The next morning, Uchiha Matsuzaki's mother arrived at the hospital, bringing breakfast for them.

Following their victory in the competition, their entire team no longer needed to attend classes at the academy.

They only needed to wait for Uchiha Matsuzaki to wake up so they could report to the Anbu.

On the third day after falling into a coma, Uchiha Matsuzaki finally regained consciousness and slowly woke up.

"Ah... it hurts... where... am I?"

After waking up, Uchiha Matsuzaki frowned and whispered.

"Matsuzaki-kun, you're awake!"

Chestnut Snow, who was by his side, was extremely excited, the corners of her eyes slightly damp as she spoke.

"This is the hospital. You've been in a coma for three days!"

"You fell unconscious right after you won the match, but you've finally woken up now."

"That match left you with severe injuries, so you must rest well now. The doctor said there are no major problems, and you can be discharged in two weeks."

Chestnut Snow looked at Uchiha Matsuzaki, whose hands were wrapped in bandages, and said with a hint of sadness.

Upon hearing what Chestnut Snow had just said, Uchiha Matsuzaki stopped asking questions and turned his head to look out the window.
