"Namikaze Minato?"
"To think he would be the one to come."
"It seems things are getting interesting this time."
Uchiha Matsuzaki watched the Hokage walking toward him, thinking silently to himself.
"Greetings, everyone!"
After entering the room, Namikaze Minato spoke to the five of them with a smile on his face.
"Lord Hokage!"
"Hokage... Lord! Hello!"
Except for Uchiha Matsuzaki, the other four could hardly believe their eyes.
They had originally thought that joining the Anbu was a glorious achievement, but they were still somewhat flustered upon seeing the Hokage in person.
"Everyone, please don't be alarmed. I didn't come here for any particular reason other than to explain the situation to you."
"In fact, the entire Anbu recruitment process was arranged by me."
"There is a reason for this."
"I have established a new department called the Four-Man Squad."
"Like the Anbu, it is a department that reports directly to me. The difference is that the missions you will undertake are extremely, extremely special."
At this moment, the corners of Uchiha Matsuzaki's mouth curled up slightly; he finally understood that all of this was destined.
"The Four-Man Squad? Is it just like the Anbu, a very powerful department?"
Yamamoto Takeshi asked with great confusion.
Namikaze Minato nodded with a smile.
"Indeed, it is the same."
"The reason I created this department is because of some recent events."
"Not long ago, our high-level officials discovered an unknown creature. They are entirely black and possess an extremely strong recovery ability. We call them the Zero Species!"
"These creatures have surpassed our current understanding."
"During our investigation, we discovered a place called the Land of Night. They hold clues regarding these creatures."
Upon hearing the characteristics of these monsters, Uchiha Matsuzaki and the other four looked at each other and nodded slightly.
The monsters Namikaze Minato had just described were the very same ones they had encountered before.
"Not a single Anbu ninja sent out previously has returned alive."
"They have already obtained information on all Anbu personnel. Therefore, continuing to send Anbu members to investigate is futile."
"Sending you is a last resort, and through my observations, your strength is sufficient to carry out the investigation, especially Uchiha Matsuzaki."
Namikaze Minato said, looking at Uchiha Matsuzaki.
"Of course, I won't have you leave immediately. The time is set for three months from now. During these three months, you will undergo special training, and these matters must be kept strictly confidential. Do not let anyone else know."
After hearing what Namikaze Minato said, the five of them nodded to one another.
"Alright, I have made things clear to you. Now, train hard! I hope you can become stronger within these three months."
"Matsuzaki, come out for a moment. I have something to discuss with you."
Having said that, Namikaze Minato walked out of the room.
Uchiha Matsuzaki glanced at the other four, then slowly walked out of the room and arrived at Namikaze Minato's side.
"Lord Hokage, what did you need to see me for?"
"Matsuzaki, you are the strongest in your squad."
"I hope that during these three months, you can help improve their strength while also becoming even stronger yourself."
"I know you have been searching for the killer who murdered your father. Through my inquiries, I have learned that the killer is in the Land of Night."
Upon hearing what Namikaze Minato had just said, Uchiha Matsuzaki's expression became slightly flustered.
He had not expected Namikaze Minato to tell him these things at this time.
