Background / History

Mu En is Shrek Academy's foremost pillar and a rank 99 Limit Douluo. Known as the Dragon God Douluo, he possesses the Bright Sacred Dragon martial soul and is regarded as one of the strongest combatants on the continent. In his era, he and Long Xiaoyao, wielder of the Dark Sacred Dragon, were called the Light and Dark Twin Holy Dragons. 1 9 50

Before the story begins, Mu En discovered a Dragon Core condensed from the remains of a Bright Sacred Dragon in an ancient ruin. The artifact greatly aided his rise to level 99, but others could not even touch it. He preserved it until Mu Tianyi demonstrated a unique compatibility with it. 10

His decades-old hidden wounds, sustained in a battle with Du Bisi, left him aged and in declining health. Although he initially rejected using Mu Tianyi's Life Gold, he accepted a conservative treatment plan because Shrek, its students, and the continent still needed him. Elder Zhuang used the Tree of Life martial soul and solidified life-force powder to heal Mu En's meridians, organs, and origin power, restoring his youthful appearance and peak strength. 45 51 52

Following his recovery, Mu En began reforming Shrek Academy. He mandated Soul Tool studies for all students, arguing that the academy must adapt to the continent's changing trends rather than be left behind. 52

Personality

Mu En is calm, dignified, and deeply protective of both his family and Shrek Academy. Even while facing Di Tian over Mu Tianyi's disappearance, he remains measured, restrains Xuan Zi's recklessness, and apologizes when appropriate—though his concern for his great-grandson is unmistakable. 20

He values responsibility and integrity. When Xuan Zi's negligence nearly causes disaster in the Star Dou Great Forest, Mu En does not excuse his deputy; instead, he convenes the Sea God Pavilion and requires Xuan Zi to publicly accept responsibility. 21

As a mentor, Mu En is encouraging but demanding. He recognizes Mu Tianyi's unprecedented talent, guides his self-martial-soul fusion research, and repeatedly stresses that inherited techniques are only references: each person must forge their own path. 1 5 6 11

Mu En accompanies Mu Tianyi to Jingyang Mountain Range, maps Golden Valley, subdues the hundred-thousand-year Star-Glory Unicorn, and allows Mu Tianyi to deliver the final blow. When they encounter Evil Soul Masters afterward, Mu En intervenes as leader of the Shrek Supervisory Corps, only for Long Xiaoyao to interrupt the execution. 46 51
