Background

Li Hao transmigrated to Douluo Continent and lived in Holy Soul Village. At his Martial Soul Awakening Ceremony, he awakened the Tattered Fishing Rod and tested at only 0.5 Soul Power, making him an unusual but extremely weak soul master. He initially intended to live as a carefree fisherman and rely on the Soul Master Academy for meals. 1

His life changed after Xiao Wu underwent Bond Evolution into a Soul Beast Girl and called him “Daddy.” Their Soul Contract raised him directly to Level 10, and Li Hao accepted responsibility for raising and protecting her. 2 3

After saving the dying Queen Medusa, Li Hao caused her rebirth as Cailin and gained another absolutely loyal companion. The associated power increase elevated him to Level 29, but the attention attracted by Xiao Wu and Cailin brought Martial Soul Hall's pursuit upon them. 8 9 15

To escape pursuit and build a stable home, Li Hao established the Soul Beast Paradise. What began as a meadow with a wooden house developed into a self-sustaining Blessed Land where wounded and dying soul beasts could recover. Li Hao gradually accepted his position as its caretaker and protector rather than merely treating it as a refuge. 17 29 30

Personality

Li Hao is habitually lazy, risk-averse, and socially anxious. He prefers fishing, avoiding strangers, and living quietly with his family over seeking fame, combat, or political influence. He frequently describes his desired life as that of a “salted fish” landlord. 1 7 45 46

Despite his reluctance to become involved in danger, he is stubborn when his freedom or companions are threatened. He refused to remain imprisoned in Paradise by Martial Soul Hall's tracking mark, forcibly severing the connection despite the backlash. 21 22

Li Hao is compassionate toward suffering soul beasts and repeatedly chooses to help them even when doing so offers no immediate safety or reward.
