"Take your life."
The three lunged at him in an instant.
They crossed the five paces in the blink of an eye.
Two unleashed ninjutsu while the third closed in to attack from behind.
Since they were in Konoha—and in Uchiha territory—Daohuo Uchiha never imagined they would dare attack him outright. He had no time to defend himself.
One of them got close.
Daohuo activated his Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

But a hand reached out from behind his attacker. Two fingers plunged into the man's eye sockets.
A spray of blood shot out.
Daohuo Uchiha's eyes were gouged out.

Daohuo Uchiha lost control in an instant and rapidly formed Hand Seals.
A huge fireball roared from his mouth.
But the three men had already vanished.

"Have him come out and explain himself."
Just then, the Third Hokage arrived with several elders.
Itachi Uchiha was standing between the two sides as well.
"Don't listen to him! He's a traitor!"
When Shui Uchiha saw Itachi Uchiha, a vicious expression immediately appeared on his face.
Itachi Uchiha's expression darkened. He couldn't understand what was going on. Had someone discovered his identity?
Both sides stuck to their own story.

The Uchiha Clan erupted in fury.
"Itachi, come here. Which side are you on?"
Fugaku Uchiha's expression darkened as he looked at Itachi Uchiha standing at the front. Although he knew his son might betray him, he couldn't just give up on him yet.
Itachi Uchiha furrowed his brows.
He, too, had begun to have doubts.
He naturally didn't believe the Uchiha Clan would gouge out one of their own members' eyes.
Especially not someone as proud as Daohuo Uchiha.
