"What made you suddenly think to call me? What is it?"
Adjusting his earpiece, Tangze changed his voice and asked casually.
"Kumeru, do not agree to any requests from Vermouth in the near future." The person on the other end spoke with crisp decisiveness. "Stay away from her. Do not go looking for trouble."
It was a blunt command with no room for negotiation, brimming with personal style.

"Shut up." Before he could recklessly spill critical secrets, Gin cut him off with a warning. "Talking nonsense about these matters will do you no good. Behave yourself."
"Behave myself? Haven't I been well-behaved enough lately?" Tangze turned sarcastic in a tone that practically said, You know perfectly well what I mean. "There isn't a more well-behaved organization member in all of Japan than me, Senior Gin."
Gin adjusted his earpiece and casually lowered the volume by ten percent.
He suspected that if he kept interacting with Kumeru, he would eventually develop a condition where hearing honorific speech made him want to draw his gun.
Although that was not why he had reduced the frequency of directly contacting Kumeru lately, he had to admit that realizing he no longer had to hear Kumeru
