Suddenly, a thunderous roar rang out in Ox Demon's mind, jolting him awake.
He shifted awkwardly, refusing to look at Yayi. "Isn't it a bit inappropriate for the Ant Queen to attack me the moment I arrive?"
Then he sensed something was wrong. A layer of energy armor immediately surfaced over his body, while an octopus tentacle waved behind him.
A streak of pink energy dispersed amid the tentacle's motions.
Only then did he break free from that strange state of mind. He glared furiously at Yayi. "I came here out of kindness to share something with you. Is this how you treat a friend?"
Seeing him like this, Yayi immediately changed her demeanor. A faint smile curled at the corner of her lips, making her no longer resemble an innocent young girl.
Together with her languid stretch, she looked exactly like a ripe, juicy peach.
She chuckled softly. "Lord Ox Demon, don't forget, this isn't our first time dealing with each other. If you truly had something good, why would you come looking for me? Go on, what troublesome matter have you run into?"
Ox Demon snorted. "The Huaxia people suddenly sent a letter some time ago, saying they wanted to dispatch an exchange delegation to visit us. You know about this, right?"
Yayi cast him a seductive glance. "Of course I know. Get to the point."
Ox Demon continued, "They've arrived now. And even with Kaido and me joining forces, they scattered my Mist Hidden and wiped out the Ironblood Pirate Crew."
"What?" Startled, Yayi abruptly sat up and stared at Ox Demon, hoping he would give her a different answer.
Yet to her disappointment, Ox Demon nodded with certainty. "I just returned from the battlefield. They've already continued on toward the mainland. There are quite a
