Tang An is the youngest son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin, born roughly ten thousand years after Tang San ascended to the God Realm. At six, he awakens Twin Martial Souls whose origins derive from his parents' Clear Sky Hammer and Blue Silver Emperor bloodlines, though both have mutated into far more extreme forms. 1

Having transmigrated into the Douluo world and retained knowledge of its future, Tang An recognizes Tang San's intentions early. He outwardly performs the role of an innocent, admiring younger brother while privately intending to accept his brother's resources without becoming a controllable tool of the Tang family. 1 2

Tang San considers Tang An ideally suited to inherit the God King positions of Destruction and Life. He gives Tang An optimized Tang Sect and Clear Sky Sect techniques, then leaves Xiao Wu to supervise his cultivation while Tang San returns to the God Realm. 3 4

Under Xiao Wu's protection, Tang An travels to the Star Dou Forest. There, he contracts the million-year Sky Dream Ice Silkworm as a Soul Spirit and gains his first soul ring for the Immortal Scythe. 6 7 He later receives a hundred-thousand-year soul ring from the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger for the Crimson Annihilation Hammer, including Sea God divine power, space-time attributes, and an Evil God Origin Mark. 15 16

After encountering Tang Ya and Huo Yuhao, Tang An assumes control of the declining Tang Sect using the First Generation Sect Master Token. He recruits Huo Yuhao, makes Tang Ya his acting assistant, and begins guiding both disciples toward cultivation paths tailored to their martial souls. 9 11

At Shrek Academy, Tang An's status and abilities rapidly earn him recognition. Mu En and the Sea God Pavilion elders appoint him Deputy Pavilion Master after witnessing his million-year soul ring and life-attribute abilities. 19 He subsequently disciplines Xuan Zi, takes custody of Xuan Zi's soul origin, and demonstrates combat power that forces a suppressed Xuan Zi to raise his defense to Level 69. 21 22

Tang An possesses a mature, striking appearance far beyond that expected of a six-year-old. He is described as tall and straight-backed, with broad shoulders, sharp brows, star-like eyes, and facial features around seventy percent similar to Tang San's. 1

Tang An is calculating, observant, and highly capable of concealing his real thoughts. While he presents himself to Tang San and his parents as an obedient younger brother, he privately plans to resist any attempt to control his future. 2 3

He is confident to the point of arrogance, openly declaring himself destined to become a God King and treating problems such as Tang Ya's martial soul corruption as manageable obstacles. 10 His confidence is supported by exceptional knowledge of martial souls, cultivation routes, and the future potential of those around him. 9 11 29

Despite his manipulative tendencies, Tang An does not regard people who treat him sincerely as disposable tools. He protects Huo Yuhao, guides Tang Ya through a dangerous soul-ring absorption, secures opportunities for Huo Yutong at Shrek Academy, and personally helps Xiao Xiao cultivate. 5 12 17 27 29
