Li Hai first brought the metal lump of an iron chest up to his eyes and began turning it over and over, searching for any writing.

Unfortunately, there were no words at all.

Not only were there no words, but the keyhole on the chest had apparently been squeezed out of shape by the passage of countless years, until now it had become a tiny slit too narrow for even an embroidery needle to fit through.

The keyhole wasn't the only problem. Several of the seams around the chest door had also become visibly warped, twisted and pressed together like hideous scars.

"Prise it open and have a look."

Thinking this, Li Hai grabbed both sides of the chest and suddenly exerted force.

In an instant, two tremendous forces—each weighing hundreds of thousands of jin and pulling in opposite directions—were applied to either side of the chest.

"Dammit! Were you made of Adamantium?! You're so light, yet so hard."

Li Hai cursed with a grin, then left the chest alone and picked up the crossbow.

"I'll deal with you later. Let's see what else there is first."

As he muttered, he glanced over and spotted two small ancient seal-script characters engraved in a corner of the crossbow's arm: Rebellion.

"The Rebellion Bow?"

A guess came to him.

To test it, Li Hai grabbed the bowstring
