Though this hall gleamed like a jewel, it was ruined and dilapidated as a whole.

Zhang Sanxian could not be bothered with such details and strolled straight into the palace.

Yet the moment he entered, he discovered that the spacetime structure within was highly chaotic.

"This place has folded and compressed an enormous expanse of spacetime."

Zhang Sanxian swept his gaze around. "And because the palace itself has already been severely damaged, it has become this unstable."

As his eyes roamed the surroundings, he saw a barren, deathly silent stretch of shattered land spanning ten thousand miles.

Zhang Sanxian's figure immediately flickered as he began roaming this unknown dead land at tremendous speed.

Before long, he found several shriveled, damaged corpses of varying forms in some of the area's corners.

One of them was covered in remnants of bone armor, and it bore a striking resemblance to the bone-armored lizard outside the door.

"Treasure seekers from the past, perhaps?"

Zhang Sanxian pondered. "It seems quite a number of Qi Refiners have made it here before."

Soon afterward, he found the only structure on this level—a thousand-meter stone tower that had nearly collapsed.

Zhang Sanxian stepped inside and followed its sole passageway, a spiral staircase, speeding all the way down.

After descending for ten thousand miles, Zhang Sanxian arrived at the second level.

The second level was even more expansive, stretching across a hundred thousand miles.

Yet it was the same as the level above: equally desolate and silent, with corpses of various races scattered about.

These corpses also bore the traces of time, though the marks were lighter—roughly ten thousand years' worth.

After thoroughly searching this level, Zhang Sanxian found it just as empty.

"Both levels are empty. Could this place have already been picked clean by those before us?"
