Cast your line, and the world can wait!
When Kujo Tachibana reached the shore, he secured the bait and switched to a different fishing technique instead of waiting in one spot.
Holding the heavy-duty fishing rod in one hand, he repeatedly cast and reeled it in, over and over.
This technique made it seem as though a fish were moving through the water, which could attract fierce predatory fish.
Kujo Tachibana repeated the casting and reeling motion for more than an hour. Then a strange pink fish, five or six meters long, came speeding toward the spot where he was working the rod.
Once the strange fish drew close enough, Kujo Tachibana used Sword Heart Clarity to sense its exact appearance. His expression turned rather odd.
"What's this? A sea beast—Momoo?"
Kujo Tachibana was puzzled. He remembered seeing this kind of sea beast in the One Piece anime, though it had been blue and much bigger. Maybe this one hadn't grown up yet!
He shook his head. Whatever its color, he'd catch it first. If it wasn't poisonous, he'd eat it afterward.
In the azure coastal waters, a young pink manatee with a bull's head and a fish's body paddled its enormous tail and headed straight for the fish head dangling beneath the heavy-duty rod.
The little pink manatee opened its huge mouth, lined with sharp teeth, and swallowed the fish head and hook whole without even chewing.
It had swum for half the day for such a tiny morsel. The little pink manatee seemed dissatisfied and let out a couple of low "moo"s.
Then it plunged into the sea, and the line on the heavy-duty rod snapped taut under the force of its pull!
An enormous tug traveled up the heavy-duty rod in Kujo Tachibana's hands, again and again.
