Last night's "celebration" had been a little too intense. The pampered young lady had clearly been worn out and was now in deep sleep, a faint, satisfied smile still lingering at the corners of her lips.
Sun Wuxiu gently slipped his trapped arm free, moving so softly that he did not stir even the slightest breeze.
As he looked at Bulma's utterly defenseless sleeping face, a trace of tenderness flashed through his eyes.
"Sleep well."
He gently kissed Bulma on the forehead, then got up, washed up quickly, changed into loose casual clothes, and left the room.
Although he had expended quite a bit last night, for a Saiyan with the passive boost of the [Horse Talisman], a few minutes of resting with his eyes closed were enough to restore him to peak condition.
Passing through Capsule Corp's futuristic corridors, Sun Wuxiu headed straight for the core laboratory area underground.
"Yo, Wu Xiu, up so early?"
The laboratory doors slid open automatically, and a distinctive scent of motor oil mixed with coffee rushed out.
Dr. Brief sat amid a pile of complex blueprints and parts, his ever-present pipe clenched between his teeth and the black cat named Little Black perched on his shoulder. He was adjusting something with a laser screwdriver in hand.
"Good morning, Doctor."
Sun Wuxiu walked over and got straight to the point. "Is that thing I asked you to make three years ago finished?"
At that, light flashed across Dr. Brief's glasses, and a smug grin appeared on his face.
"Hehe, I knew you came running over first thing in the morning for this."
The Doctor set down his tool, rose from his chair, and stretched.
"Don't worry, it's completely finished! And its performance is far beyond what you originally asked for!"
He led Sun Wuxiu through several security checkpoints and arrived at a broad stretch of grassland behind Capsule Corp.
There stood a massive silver-white hemispherical structure. Metallic gleams flowed across its shell, which had no visible seams at all. It looked like a spaceship ready to take off at any moment.
"This is—the Gravity Training Chamber, Mark II."
Dr. Brief blew out a smoke ring, unable to hide the pride in his voice.
"Originally, with current gravitational-wave technology, one hundred times gravity was the limit. But..."
The Doctor paused, and his expression turned somewhat wistful.
"It was all thanks to Bulma. Over the past three years, so that you could have the best equipment the moment you came back, she practically lived in the lab day and night. She rewrote the underlying algorithms of the gravity control system and even developed an entirely new energy conversion core."
"She forcibly raised the gravity limit to three hundred times Earth's standard gravity!"
Having said that, the Doctor glanced at Sun Wuxiu and spoke meaningfully.
"That girl may not say it out loud, but she's worked herself to the bone to support your martial arts. Even I, her father, feel bad watching her."
Sun Wuxiu looked at the enormous, highly technological structure before him, and his heart suddenly trembled.
Three hundred times...
In the original story, when Goku headed to Planet Namek, the spaceship gravity chamber modified by Dr. Brief could only reach a maximum of one hundred times gravity.
And the Gravity Chamber Vegeta later trained himself to the brink of death in only went up to around three hundred times.
At this point in time, Bulma had somehow forced her way past the technological limits and created such a miraculous machine.
"This silly girl..."
Warmth surged through Sun Wuxiu's heart.
He remembered Bulma's exhausted yet excited gaze last night, and he remembered the three years she had spent waiting.
If she had not still been catching up on sleep in the bedroom, Sun Wuxiu would have wanted to rush back right now, drag her out of bed, and "reward" her properly once more.
"Thank you, Doctor. This gift is far too precious," Sun Wuxiu said solemnly.
"Hahaha, what are you thanking me for? We're family—no need for formalities."
Dr. Brief waved a hand. "Come on, I'll show you how to operate it."
The interface was not complicated. For someone like Sun Wuxiu, who possessed an adult soul, it only took a few minutes to learn.
"By the way, Doctor."
After learning the controls, Sun Wuxiu seemed to remember something. He took a slip of paper he had prepared long ago from his pocket and handed it to Dr. Brief.
"There are two sets of coordinates here. I'd like to trouble you to send someone to recover two items."
"Oh? What are they?" The Doctor took the note curiously.
"The first coordinates are in the Yunzebit Heights at Earth's northernmost point. There's a strangely shaped white spaceship there. Although it has been stranded for several hundred years, it should still be repairable."
That was the spaceship Kami, a Namekian, had taken to Earth as a child.
"The second coordinates are in this valley near Mount Paozu. There's a spherical one-man craft there."
That was a Saiyan's spherical space pod.
Sun Wuxiu's gaze deepened.
"Both of those items contain spaceflight technology far beyond Earth's."
"I'd like you to haul them back and study them. Ideally, turn them into a large spaceship capable of interstellar travel at any time."
The moment Dr. Brief heard that it was alien technology, his eyes turned into two lightbulbs, and even his beard trembled with excitement.
"Alien spacecraft?! Interstellar jumps?! My God! This is like manna falling from the sky!"
"Don't worry! Leave it to me! As long as I have the real things, I'll definitely crack the technology behind them!"
Seeing the Doctor's fervent expression, Sun Wuxiu knew that the issue of transportation for the future trip to Planet Namek was settled.
After sending off the excited Doctor, Sun Wuxiu entered the Gravity Chamber alone.
"Bzzz—"
The heavy alloy doors slowly shut, completely sealing off the noise outside.
The interior of the Gravity Chamber was spacious. Its pure white walls and floor gave off a calm yet chilling feeling.
Sun Wuxiu stood in the center of the hall without immediately activating the gravity.
He closed his eyes and felt the training ground that belonged to him alone.
"Finally... I've reached this point."
In truth, with the Twelve Talismans, if all he wanted was to become stronger, he could have used the [Dog Talisman] and [Horse Talisman] together to exploit a loophole and farm Near-Death Revival.
But he had not.
Even during his early training, he had not used a "cheat device" like the Gravity Chamber.
Why?
The first reason was simple—physical development.
Saiyans had a long childhood. If he pushed his body too hard under ultra-high gravity too early, it could easily cause his bones to fuse prematurely and stunt his growth.
Vegeta was a bloody lesson in that.
Sun Wuxiu had no desire to become a five-foot-three dwarf in the future. No matter how strong his combat power was, his presence would still lose a third of its force.
But now, he was already seventeen. His height had stabilized, and he was at the golden age for tempering his body.
