Huang Fei grew up alongside Tang San and awakened Innate Full Soul Power. Unlike Tang San, he possesses knowledge of Tang San's future path and is bound by a system rule: whatever Tang San gains, Huang Fei receives a superior counterpart, while his soul power remains ten levels ahead. His Mysterious Heaven Skill also progresses at twice Tang San's speed. 2 3 4

He recognized the potential of Blue Silver Grass as a life-attribute Martial Soul and urged Tang San to develop its vitality rather than compensate for perceived weaknesses with poison or conventional control abilities. He advised Tang San to seek high-age plant-type soul rings with life-force attributes, then openly declared that he would follow Tang San's route himself. 4 5

At Notting Academy, Huang Fei distrusted Yu Xiaogang's self-promotion and challenged him over the gap between his theories and personal cultivation.
