Background / History

While resting in the Star Dou Forest, the Golden Light Eagle sensed a forbidden aura and witnessed Er Ming’s sudden transformation. He then heard Jiang Li’s command to Er Ming: “Go, Er Ming, and save my daughter.” Realizing that Jiang Li had a daughter in danger, he entered the spatial rift ahead of the others, intending to protect Xiao Wu and gain Jiang Li’s favor. He believed that success might earn him the chance to become a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast 9.

He arrived at Martial Soul City as a ten-thousand-year soul beast and immediately placed himself between Xiao Wu and the surrounding Title Douluo. Although grievously injured by their combined attacks, he refused to retreat and called for reinforcements. The ensuing beast tide placed him at its forefront 10 11.

After returning to the Star Dou Forest, he reacted to Jiang Li with extreme fear and reverence. Jiang Li later recognized his cleverness and rewarded him with the Kunpeng Method, fundamentally changing his capabilities 20 25.

Appearance

The Golden Light Eagle is a massive dark-gold avian soul beast with a stated wingspan of three zhang. After receiving the Kunpeng Method, his feathers change from dark gold to a gold-and-cyan coloration.

The Golden Light Eagle is opportunistic, quick-witted, and highly pragmatic. His decision to save Xiao Wu began as a calculated attempt to attach himself to Jiang Li’s faction and obtain greater power. He openly regarded himself as the first soul beast to seize this opportunity and expected recognition for protecting Jiang Li’s daughter 9 17.

Despite those self-interested motives, he proved extraordinarily determined in battle. He endured attacks from multiple Title Douluo, physically forced Xiao Wu away from danger, and continued shielding her while badly wounded 10 11.

He is also proud and smug, particularly about his role in Xiao Wu’s rescue. However, this confidence disappears in Jiang Li’s presence, where he becomes deferential enough to flatten himself on the ground in fear 17 20.
