Tang San led his companions into Star Dou Forest’s black marsh to hunt the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger and claim its Evil God Pearl. He intended to use the pearl’s attributes to transform the foundation of his Asura God Position.
Tang San confronted the sixty-thousand-year Dark Demon Evil God Tiger in the black marsh, determined to claim its spirit ring, Evil God Pearl, and abilities for his Asura God Position. After the tiger attacked and Tang San wounded it, Dai Mubai and the others joined the fight, and Tang Chen intervened when the tiger threatened them.
Tang San sealed the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger’s escape, resisted its Life-and-Death Reversal, and killed it with Asura divine power. As he tried to seize the Evil God Pearl, Li Pu appeared and took it first.
Li Pu confronted Tang San over his ruthless pursuit of power and took the Evil God Pearl, while Tang San openly embraced his evil path and attacked. Tang San, Tang Chen, Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun’s combined assault failed to penetrate Li Pu’s barrier.
Li Pu crushed Tang San and his allies, then let them leave so they could grow stronger and seek revenge. Tang Chen stayed behind to face Li Pu while Tang San escaped with Dai Mubai, Ma Hongjun, and Oscar.
Tang Chen unleashed his refined Clear Sky Hammer techniques against Li Pu, but Li Pu countered each move with precisely timed Bun Bombs. When Tang Chen closed in with his ultimate close-range strike, Li Pu caught the hammer tip barehanded, leaving Tang Chen stunned.
Li Pu overwhelmed Tang Chen with his physical strength, then challenged him to use the Great Sumeru Hammer’s Ring Detonation. Tang Chen detonated all nine soul rings after his first attack failed to harm Li Pu, leaving their final clash poised to begin.
Li Pu defeated Tang Chen in the Star Dou Forest, crippled his cultivation, and took him to Spirit Hall. The chapter ended with Qian Daoliu recognizing his long-lost friend and rival on the stretcher.
Li Pu returned the crippled Tang Chen to Qian Daoliu and explained that he had spared him so they could reunite. He told Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue that he was keeping Tang San alive as bait to expose and ultimately eliminate the Asura God.
Qian Daoliu shared a private meal with Tang Chen and urged him to father heirs who could preserve the Clear Sky Hammer bloodline. Tang Chen accused him of plotting to make the Clear Sky lineage serve the Angel Clan, and Qian Daoliu challenged his belief in the Clear Sky Hammer’s status.
Qian Daoliu told Tang Chen that the Clear Sky Hammer and its clan had once served the Angel Clan, then demanded that Tang Chen leave descendants to continue the legacy. Tang Chen refused, but after three days of isolation and despair, Qian Daoliu returned to ask for his answer.
Tang Chen and Qian Daoliu confronted their broken oath and the danger Li Pu posed to the Clear Sky Sect, then agreed to rebuild the sect under the Spirit Hall. Tang Chen accepted Qian Daoliu’s offer on three conditions, including protection for Tang San if he did not threaten the continent.
Hiding in Balu City, Tang San and his companions discussed how to escape Li Pu and the Spirit Hall Empire. The Asura God revealed that the Sea God would admit them to Sea God Island, and Tang San prepared to travel there and pursue Dual Godhood.
Li Pu let Tang San escape to Sea God Island, confident he could finish merging the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ origins before Tang San completed the Sea God Nine Trials. In Xilu City, Oscar asked Tang San to visit the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to recruit Ning Rongrong, and Tang San agreed to consider the sect’s support as he searched for manpower.
Tang San decided to give the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect one chance to join him against the Spirit Hall Empire, then traveled with Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun to recruit Ning Rongrong. They secretly entered the sect and found Ning Rongrong withdrawn and sorrowful, leaving Oscar to face her.
Tang San and his companions confronted Ning Rongrong at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and tried to persuade her to join them, while Tang San insulted Oscar and offered to make Ning Rongrong his empress. Ning Rongrong pretended to accept so she could avoid a clash and find a way to warn Li Pu, but Tang San planned to gather Yu Tianheng and Zhu Zhuyun before leaving.
Tang San recruited Yu Tianheng and Zhu Zhuyun into his campaign against the Spirit Hall Empire by promising revenge and divine positions. They accepted and left the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect with Tang San and his companions before the patrol arrived.
After Tang San and his companions left through a secret passage, Li Pu and Ning Fengzhi discussed Ning Rongrong’s role in keeping the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect safe and tracking Tang San. Li Pu dismissed the threat of Tang San gaining the Sea God’s inheritance, and Ning Fengzhi resolved to accept Rongrong’s sacrifice for the sect’s future.
Tang San led his expanded group toward Vast Sea City, confident they would reach Sea God Island and inherit divine power. Ning Rongrong secretly sent their route and plans to Ning Fengzhi, while Tang San dismissed concerns about the missing Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.
