Background / History

Xiao Wu entered Notting Academy as a work-study student and arrived at Dormitory Seven shortly after Tang San became its boss. She introduced her martial soul as a “cute, little white rabbit,” then defeated Tang San by closing in, binding him with her braid, and throwing him to the floor. Tang San relinquished the position to her, and Xiao Wu eagerly accepted the title of Dormitory Seven’s boss 11.

Li Ping'an identified her as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast and bound the Fortune Interception System to her. The system warned Xiao Wu that a Title Douluo had discovered her identity, prompting her to accept the binding in exchange for the Breath Concealment Technique. She immediately mastered the technique and used it to conceal her soul beast, soul power, and spirit ring auras 12.

The system designated Li Ping'an as a Child of Fortune. To obtain rewards and eventually absorb his destiny, Xiao Wu needed to increase his favorability toward her. This motivated her efforts to remain close to him, including deliberately holding back during their spar, offering him protection as the dormitory boss, and sharing his bed under the pretext of lacking bedding 12 13 14 15.

Xiao Wu later began researching Self-Created Soul Skills with Li Ping'an. Her naturally unobstructed meridians allowed her to circulate soul power instinctively, making her unusually adept at devising and teaching such techniques. Their work produced or developed the Soft Technique, Rabbit Fist, and eventually Charm Fist 16 17 20 34.

During a trip to the Star Dou Great Forest, Xiao Wu recognized the Titan Giant Ape and Sky Azure Bull Python as Da Ming and Er Ming, the soul beast kings she considered her younger brothers. Their clash with the Title Douluo monitoring her confirmed that the pursuer was Tang Hao, the Clear Sky Douluo. Xiao Wu chose not to flee with Da Ming and Er Ming, fearing that relying on them could endanger them, and instead resolved to seek her own means of escape 37 38.

Xiao Wu initially appears as a delicate, pink-cheeked young girl with refined features, fair skin, and a scorpion braid reaching her heels. Though she wears simple work-study clothing, her appearance draws immediate attention in Dormitory Seven 11.

She refuses to be intimidated by Xiao Chenyu’s attempt to make her his pet, turning the wager back on him instead 11 18.

Despite presenting herself as innocent and childlike, Xiao Wu is calculating when survival is involved. After learning that a Title Douluo is watching her, she actively seeks Li Ping'an’s favor and the system rewards tied to his destiny.
