Chapter 1: Prologue, The Beginning of Everything
Before the primordial chaos of heaven and earth had been cleaved, the Primordial Origin evolved the sources of many worlds on its own. Among them, the Chaos World was the most famous, yet it was not the most powerful source of worlds created by the Primordial Origin. To be precise, all sources of worlds had the tendency to evolve into a Primordial state.
Time was not recorded in the Primordial era. After countless billions of Primordial epochs, the Primordial Purple Qi within the Primordial Origin itself began to reach the brink of collapse due to the excessive gestation of world sources.
During these countless billions of Primordial epochs, several of the more powerful world sources gestated by the Primordial Origin grew first. These included the Chaos World, which was the first to be gestated, the Twelve Universes, the Myriad God Planes, the Ganges World, the Three Thousand Worlds...
On the verge of the Primordial Origin's fragmentation, its primordial consciousness transformed the remaining Primordial Purple Origin into a Primordial Supreme Artifact. The appearance of this artifact accelerated the speed of the fragmentation. Just a few epochs later, the Primordial Origin shattered. As for that Primordial Supreme Artifact, apart from the now-extinct primordial consciousness, no one else knew of its existence!
With the Primordial Origin shattered, the constraints were gone. All world sources scattered, leaving only the Chaos World to remain where the Primordial Origin had broken, inheriting that void space. This gave rise to the saying: "The Primordial Origin shattered, and Chaos emerged!"
When the Primordial Origin shattered, that Primordial Supreme Artifact also vanished into the void, its whereabouts unknown!
As time passed, the Chaos World was eventually severely damaged and vanished into obscurity following Pangu's act of cleaving the heavens and earth. Only some residual fragments of chaos remained outside the newly opened Primordial World.
After the Primordial World was opened, various great deities displayed their divine powers, and the Great Tribulations began. The first tribulation of heaven and earth, triggered by the Chaos Demon Gods, initiated the first Great Tribulation of the Primordial World: the Initial Tribulation of the Dragon and Phoenix. The Demon Ancestor Luo Hou was defeated, and other Chaos Demon Gods fell one after another. Aside from Hongjun, who attained sainthood during this tribulation, only a few Chaos Demon Gods escaped. The Phoenix clan was forever stationed in the south, the Qilin clan forever stationed in the center of the heavens, and the Dragon clan retreated to the seas to summon clouds and rain for the Primordial World, suppressing the boundless oceans. Not long after, the three clans completely declined!
After the first Great Tribulation ended, the Primordial World welcomed a new era. Although it did not match the grandeur before the first tribulation, it reached a state where Golden Immortals were as common as dogs, Great Luo Immortals walked the earth, and Quasi-Saints were considered experts. The Wu and Demon clans gradually grew strong. The two Demon Emperors, Donghuang Taiyi and Di Jun, were dissatisfied with the status quo and sought to seize the Primordial land, while the Ancestral Witches, formed from the twelve drops of Pangu's essence blood, also intended to rule the Primordial world.
The second Great Tribulation arose: the Demons ruled the heavens, and the Witches ruled the earth. With all the Sages present, the Wu and Demon clans finally clashed. In the ensuing war, the Ancestral Witches were wiped out, the two Demon Emperors perished, and nine out of ten elites from both clans were killed. In the end, Mount Buzhou collapsed, and the waters of the Heavenly River flooded the world.
After the Wu-Demon war, the Primordial World enjoyed a long period of peace before the third Great Tribulation arrived.
The Investiture of the Gods began, and the three religions fought. Although the world was no longer as grand as it once was, it was still an era where Profound Immortals were as common as dogs and Golden Immortals were everywhere, along with Great Luo Golden Immortals and Quasi-Saints.
In this battle, the strength of the Primordial World plummeted. The Jie Sect was destroyed, and the Master of Heaven, Tongtian, furiously set up the Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation to face the two Sages, Taishang Laojun and Yuanshi Tianzun. Little did he know that those two had already colluded with outsiders. The Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation, which could only be broken by four Sages, had its golden body shattered due to the addition of the two Sages, Zhunti and Jieyin.
The battle of the five Sages shattered the Primordial World. Finally, the Dao Ancestor Hongjun appeared to stop them, gathering the power of all Sages to mend the Primordial World. After much effort, the Primordial World was divided into the Three Realms: the Thirty-Three Heavens, the Earth Immortal Realm, and the Human Realm. Unfortunately, after this battle, although the Primordial World was preserved, it could never recover its ancient glory. The Innate Qi dissipated, and Acquired Qi permeated the Three Realms.
The Sages were subsequently imprisoned in the Zixiao Palace, forbidden from leaving until the Immeasurable Tribulation!
The fourth Great Tribulation arose. After the previous tribulations, this one was clearly much smaller. The Journey to the West was not only for the eastward spread of Buddhism but also to cleanse the boundless resentment from heaven and earth. Unfortunately, a change occurred. At the end of the journey, Mo Luo Wutian, the successor of the former Demon Ancestor Luo Hou, appeared. The Sages were imprisoned in the Zixiao Palace, but after much hardship, they managed to destroy Mo Luo Wutian without further incident.
Regrettably, after this battle, although the boundless resentment in the world was cleared, the appearance of Mo Luo Wutian caused much of that resentment to leak into the Human Realm. Although the Immortals and Buddhas of the heavens tried their best to remedy the Human Realm, in the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang occupied the earth's dragon veins to stabilize his empire, completely severing the resolve of those deities to provide aid.
As the resentment in the Human Realm gradually thickened, the Immortals and Gods had no choice but to return to the Earth Immortal Realm. With their return, the connection between the Heavenly Realm, the Earth Immortal Realm, and the Human Realm was completely severed. Cultivating the Dao to become an immortal in the human world became a complete delusion! From then on, the Human Realm gradually lost its orthodox Immortals and Gods!
In the late Ming Dynasty, monsters and demons ran rampant, and evil deeds were everywhere. Right and wrong in the world became difficult to distinguish. Not long after, the Ming Dynasty fell. The iron cavalry of the Qing Dynasty entered the pass, beginning a reign that lasted for hundreds of years. In the final years of the Qing Dynasty, the resentment that had not fully dissipated reappeared, and China suffered once more.
And our story begins on this very planet...
Chapter 2: The Beginning of a Legend, The Time-Space Dragon Ball
Decades later...
The night in Xia City was brilliant with lights, and the streets were bustling with people. In an apartment hotel in Xia City, a slightly chubby otaku was watching the fighting scenes from the Dragon Ball anime on his computer, looking as excited as if he were firing a gun!
Lin Feng, an otaku, was not only a chef at a small hotel but also a part-time web novelist. Although he wasn't a top-tier author, his book, iPartment: Roaming Freely, was considered a featured urban novel on that website, earning him enough small change to get by and barely maintain his livelihood.
