"First stop..." Bulma sat in her car and activated the Dragon Radar.
On the screen in her hand, a light dot to the east was the closest to her; it was located in the vast wilderness east of Paris Town.
"The wilderness on the eastern outskirts of Paris Town... Let's go!"
Amidst the roar of the engine, the young girl, fueled by her desire to uncover legends and her longing for the unknown, drove her car away from the familiar city and toward an adventure filled with legendary color.
Beep. Beep... Beep-beep...
An electronic sound, so faint it was almost scattered by the mountain breeze, rang out rhythmically in the depths of the valley.
The vegetation here was dense, tangled with vines, and rarely visited by humans.
In a hidden corner at the bottom of the valley, a silver-gray, streamlined spaceship lay dormant.
Its elegant design was completely out of place in the surrounding primitive jungle environment, and the hull was covered in thick vines and moss. Only a few faint indicator lights flickered stubbornly, proving that it was not entirely dead.
Looking at the degree of natural erosion, it was clear that it had been silent here for a very long time.
However, this silence was broken today by a young girl.
Vroom, vroom, vroom—!
The harsh roar of an engine tore through the tranquility of the valley, startling countless birds and small animals.
"Seriously! I was looking at the map, so how did I get lost again?! Where on earth is this ghost place?!"
Bulma rode her beloved off-road motorcycle, struggling to navigate through the rugged, vine-choked valley.
The body of the bike had already been scratched by sharp branches, which made her heart ache.
"This won't do! If this keeps up, my collector's edition motorcycle is going to be ruined!"
Pouting, Bulma stopped the bike, turned off the engine, and reached back to pull out the box containing her Hoi-Poi Capsule. With a soft "pop," her beloved collector's edition motorcycle was stored away into the capsule.
Just as she was about to take out the capsule containing her aircraft to leave this godforsaken place, suddenly, a sound reached her ears, causing her to freeze.
"Huh? What is that sound?"
She tilted her head to listen to the wind, her ears keenly catching a faint yet unusually rhythmic electronic sound mixed into the breeze.
"It seems... over there?"
Her intense curiosity instantly overwhelmed her frustration at being lost.
Following the sound, Bulma pushed aside layers of tangled vines and carefully explored forward. When she struggled to push aside the last giant leaf blocking her view, the sight before her made her hold her breath!
A massive, sci-fi-looking silver-gray spaceship lay quietly in the embrace of the valley like a sleeping steel beast!
The marks of time had made it almost one with the forest, but that unique streamlined shape and the occasionally flickering signal lights indicated that it was not completely broken!
And that beeping sound was coming from inside it!
"Oh... my god!"
Bulma covered her mouth in disbelief, her beautiful large eyes wide open.
"Is... is this a spaceship? It... it must have been here for at least ten years, right? The energy hasn't run out yet? This kind of energy storage technology... it's incredible!"
She ran forward excitedly, ignoring the red welts the rough vines left on her hands as she struggled to clear the vegetation near the ship's hatch.
Soon, a sealed hatch was revealed.
"This must be the entrance!"
Bulma's heart was pounding; she felt both excited and nervous.
Taking a deep breath, she pulled a small, stylish handgun from her backpack, while her other hand carefully pressed against a protrusion near the hatch that looked like a switch.
Hiss—!
The sound of compressed gas being released echoed, and the heavy hatch slowly slid to one side, revealing a deep, alien-tech-filled corridor inside.
"Wow..."
After an exclamation of wonder, Bulma gripped her handgun tighter and poked her head inside to check the situation.
Inside the ship were various instruments and conduits she had never seen before, flickering with ghostly blue or pale green light. The environment was eerily quiet.
Confirming there was no danger near the entrance, she took a few deep breaths and, gathering her courage, stepped inside.
"This is... the cockpit!"
Bulma quickly found the core area.
To her surprise, the main console still had an energy response!
She tentatively touched a few buttons, and the screen actually lit up!
"Auto-pilot mode... still running? Remaining energy... low, but it's perfectly fine for maintaining basic system operations!"
Bulma instantly forgot about any potential danger.
As a genius girl, her thirst for knowledge burned brightly. She was quickly captivated by the complex operating interface and a program called the Universal Star Map, completely ignoring where she was as she studied it with insatiable hunger.
Her mind was completely immersed in the ocean of technology brought by alien science.
It was hard to say how much time had passed before Bulma, finally satisfied with the massive amount of data she had recorded, suddenly remembered to explore the other sections of the scout ship.
She followed the corridor to the living quarters at the rear of the ship, where a heavy metal door caught her attention.
"Stasis chamber?"
Bulma looked at the label on the door and carefully pressed the activation button; the door slid open without a sound.
In the center of the room, a cylindrical pod stood silently. Above the transparent cover, an electronic timer displayed [1 year 11 months 29 days], but the countdown appeared to have stopped, the numbers on the screen remaining frozen.
"A stasis pod... inside... there couldn't still be an alien creature in there, could there?"
Bulma's heart leaped into her throat, and her palm, gripping her pistol, began to sweat. Yet, intense curiosity and a strange premonition drove her forward.
She circled the stasis pod, carefully observing the external interfaces and indicator lights.
"Energy supply is normal... life support system... still running?"
She found a manual release valve and, gritting her teeth, thought, Do or die!
Bulma summoned her courage and pulled the valve with all her might!
Hiss—!!!
A massive cloud of freezing white gas instantly erupted from the seams of the pod, filling the entire room! Terrified, Bulma scrambled backward, keeping her gun trained nervously on the pod door!
The white mist gradually dissipated. The door slid open silently to the side.
And inside... it was empty?
No! As the mist cleared completely, Bulma finally saw that someone was lying inside the pod!
It was a young man with a handsome face, wearing a tight-fitting dark combat suit and sporting black, spiky hair!
His eyes were closed, his chest rising and falling slightly as if he were merely lost in a deep sleep.
"I-it's actually a man?! And... he's so handsome!!!"
Bulma was instantly stunned, nearly dropping her pistol to the floor.
The handsome man before her completely overturned her imagination of aliens being strange, misshapen creatures!
Vitelli felt as though he were floating in an endless void. His consciousness was blurred, and he seemed to have lost all sense of time.
Faintly, it felt as if some voice were calling to him.
He frowned, trying to catch the weak sound, but it vanished as quickly as it had come, and his consciousness began to sink back into the abyss.
Suddenly, a slight shaking sensation traveled through his body!
The gentle movement was accompanied by a crisp, curious female voice:
"Wake up! Hurry up and wake up! Hey, are you still alive?"
The darkness was torn asunder, and fragmented memories rushed into his mind like a tidal wave—
Planet Soph... departure... spaceship... stasis... destination... Earth.
Earth?!
Vitelli snapped to full awareness!
He threw his eyes open, and the weakness brought on by long-term stasis was instantly dispelled by a surging torrent of power within him! His muscles tensed instinctively, and his dormant aura erupted like a waking dragon!
"Hah—!!!"
An invisible, powerful shockwave exploded outward with Vitelli at its center!
The remaining nutrient fluid inside the stasis pod was sent splashing everywhere, and the sturdy metal walls groaned under the pressure!
Bulma, standing closest, felt an irresistible force hit her; she let out a cry of surprise as she was sent flying backward.
With a loud "thud," she slammed into the wall behind her, seeing stars, and the pistol she had just retrieved flew out of her hand once more!
Vitelli sprang from the pod like a panther, instantly assuming a combat stance!
His sharp gaze swept the surroundings like lightning!
Still inside the ship... safe! The source of danger... only the blue-haired girl in the corner, clutching her backside and grimacing in pain.
Earth? Have I arrived on Earth?
Vitelli's tense nerves relaxed slightly, and he finally took a closer look at the girl he had accidentally injured.
Blue hair... a young girl... this familiar appearance...
"It hurts so much... my butt..."
Bulma rubbed the painful area, tears welling up in her eyes.
When she saw Vitelli's gaze—which held a mix of scrutiny and faint confusion—her anger instantly overcame her pain and her awe of his good looks. She struggled to stand, but after several failed attempts, she could only point at Vitelli and shout indignantly:
"Hey! What is wrong with you?! Why are you so savage?! I was kind enough to save you, and you just blast me away?! Do you have any idea that if I hadn't discovered this broken ship, you would have been sleeping in there until the end of time! You ungrateful alien!"
Watching the girl bristle with rage, especially noting her signature short blue hair and vibrant spirit, Vitelli instantly confirmed her identity—Bulma!
The core figure of the Dragon Ball world, a genius of technology beyond compare!
It was just... the timeline seemed to have a problem? Judging by her appearance, she looked to be about eighteen years old... (Don't ask why she's eighteen).
Has the plot of the original Dragon Ball search already begun?
"Sorry, so sorry."
Vitelli wore an apologetic, deceptively gentle smile as he stepped forward and reached out a hand to Bulma, who was sitting on the ground.
"I just woke up and was still a bit jumpy; I thought I'd run into bad guys. I'm truly sorry for hurting you."
His smile and apology extinguished most of Bulma's anger, especially that outstretched, well-defined palm...
She hesitated for a moment, then blushed and took his hand, allowing Vitelli to pull her up with ease.
"Hmph! At least you've got a conscience!"
Bulma brushed the dust off her clothes, her cheeks still puffed out in a pout, though her eyes couldn't help but dart toward Vitelli's unfairly handsome face.
She suddenly noticed a furry tail swaying unconsciously behind Vitelli!
He really was an alien! But... a handsome alien at that!
Watching the shift in Bulma's expression from anger to curiosity and then to... a bit of infatuation, Vitelli chuckled inwardly. With a roll of his eyes, he decided to take the initiative.
"Hello, my name is Vitelli. Thank you so much for saving me; I don't know how to repay such kindness..."
He paused deliberately, watching Bulma's eyes widen with curiosity, and a mischievous smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. "How about... I repay you with my body?"
"Sure!" Bulma blurted out almost without thinking! But she immediately realized what she had said, and her entire face turned beet red!
"You... you jerk! Who... who wants you to repay me with your body! Pervert! Scoundrel! Alien lecher!"
She stomped her feet in embarrassment and anger, pointing at Vitelli and stammering incoherently.
Yet, looking at that handsome face, which held only a smile and no trace of malice (at least on the surface), she couldn't bring herself to stay mad; instead, her heart began to race even faster.
"Alright, alright, I'm just kidding."
Vitelli knew when to stop and straightened his expression. "My name is Vitelli, and I thank you again for saving my life. Miss Bulma, may I ask what year it is on Earth?"
"How do you know my name?" Bulma was stunned, her attention successfully diverted, and she puffed out her chest proudly. "My name is Bulma, and I'm 18 years old! I'm currently enjoying my summer vacation! It's Age 749! But... speaking of repayment..."
