Causing Trouble at the Door

In Sun Yu's memories, he had lived with Lana's family since he was a child. His aunt and uncle—Lana's parents—were two battle-hardened mid-level warriors who held a modest reputation among the lower and middle tiers of Planet Vegeta.

Lana's father was named Oli, and he served as the captain of a mid-level squad. Lana's mother, Hill, was a beautiful Saiyan woman who also belonged to Uncle Oli's squad; her personality was fiery, and her combat power was no less than that of the other men in the unit. She had once been a delicate blood-rose on the battlefield, and as for now... well, she still was. Thanks to the unique genes of the Saiyan warrior race, a Saiyan's appearance does not change with time once they reach adulthood. Thus, even though Aunt Hill was already middle-aged, she remained stunningly beautiful; if she were to walk down the street side-by-side with Lana, others would only mistake them for sisters.

Weaving through the residential district of the middle-tier buildings, Lana appeared exceptionally happy. The residential area featured a broad street lined with various snack bars and small shops. Although the Saiyans of Planet Vegeta utilized high-tech equipment from advanced civilizations across the universe, their own intellectual limitations meant many shopkeepers couldn't quite master those high-tech products. This directly resulted in a blend of high technology and a thick, post-modernist style, yet it didn't feel the least bit out of place.

To put it simply, it was like seeing someone driving a Ferrari while pushing a Mobil oil drum on the side of the road to sell roasted sweet potatoes. The contrast was so cute that it made Sun Yu feel overwhelmed.

Returning to Lana's home at last, Sun Yu felt somewhat nervous. He didn't know how to face the two adults who had raised him, even though they looked to be about the same age as him.

Because of the status and position of Lana's parents, their home was much more luxurious than the surrounding residential area; it was a small, detached villa. However, the villa door was wide open at this moment, and quite a few people were standing at the entrance, watching.

"What's going on? Kael, let's hurry over and see. Why are so many people standing at our door?" Lana sensed something unusual and pulled Sun Yu along as she walked quickly toward her house.

Sun Yu followed in silence. Lana walked up to the crowd and asked, "Uncle Lisen, why are you all standing at my door? Did something happen?"

Lana pushed aside a burly man blocking her path, and upon seeing that the person was her neighbor, she asked the question with a puzzled look.

The uncle named Lisen was slightly startled for a moment when he saw Lana, but he quickly regained his composure. His tone carried a hint of pity as he said, "Oh, it's Miss Lana. It's been a few years; you don't know about this yet?"

Hearing his words, Lana's heart skipped a beat. She replied sheepishly, "Know what? Tell me clearly, quickly!"

"Don't be anxious, don't be anxious, Miss Lana. In the years you've been away, something happened to your family. Not long ago, your father's squad was almost completely wiped out during a mission. Only a few people managed to escape back, severely wounded..."

"What!" Lana's eyes widened, her face full of disbelief. Although it was common for Saiyans to be injured or killed in action, that was her own father. How could she remain calm after hearing such news?

"I'm going in! Move aside!"

Lana's mind was in turmoil. She was about to push through the crowd to rush inside, but she was stopped by Uncle Lisen.

"Hey, hey, Miss Lana, you'd better not go back in. Just leave!" Uncle Lisen blocked Lana's path and urged her.

"Move!" Lana's gaze turned cold. If not for the fact that he had been a neighbor for years, she would have wanted to punch this man away.

Sun Yu, who had been silent on the side, reached out and placed a hand on Lana's shoulder, saying softly, "Sister Na, don't get angry yet. Listen to this... uh, Uncle Lisen's reason. I don't think he would stop you for no reason."

"Haha, well said. You must be Kael, right? It's been a few years, you've grown quite a bit!" Uncle Lisen chuckled, but when he met Lana's murderous glare, he immediately stopped smiling and said seriously, "It's like this: Miss Lana, you don't need to worry about your parents' safety for now. Your mother didn't participate in that mission, so she is safe and sound. "Then what is going on here?" Lana finally breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that her parents were fine. She looked around and asked.

Uncle Lisen let out a heavy sigh and said with a hint of regret, "Because your father's squad is effectively defunct, the Frieza Force has reassigned the remaining members of your father's unit to other squads. Your father now belongs to a group called the Rep Squad..."

Speaking to this point, Uncle Lisen leaned in and whispered to Lana and Sun Yu, "I heard that this squad is loyal to Frieza. They are about to execute a very dangerous mission for him, and now they want to use your parents as cannon fodder on the front lines. You two should leave quickly! After hearing Uncle Lisen's explanation, a cold sneer curled on Lana's lips. This smile made the burly uncle shiver all over. Sun Yu knew that Lana was truly furious now; someone was likely about to have a bad time.

Lana raised her hand and shoved Uncle Lisen aside, then strode toward her courtyard.

"Hey, Miss Lana, you really can't go in!"

Uncle Lisen shouted from behind. Sun Yu followed behind Lana, walked up to Uncle Lisen, patted his shoulder, and said, "Don't worry, Uncle Lisen. You should be worrying about that Rep-whatever squad!"

Before Lisen could say anything more, Lana had already walked into her courtyard. Two people suddenly appeared in the yard, looking like members of the Rep Squad. They tried to stop Lana, not wanting to let her in, but before they could even exchange a blow, Lana slapped them away, knocking them unconscious on the spot.

When Lana appeared at the door of her familiar home again, what she saw was a scene of chaos. In the large living room, tables and chairs were smashed to pieces. Lana walked in with a gloomy face, and Sun Yu followed behind.

As soon as they entered, they saw a muscular man wearing a cape and light armor. He was holding a man covered in wounds with one hand; in Sun Yu's memory, this person was his uncle, Oli.

Meanwhile, his aunt, Hill, was being held at gunpoint, as if she would be shot immediately if she dared to move.
