"Don't worry, young Sun. My martial arts may not measure up to yours, but I'll pass everything I've learned in my life on to our Datou. I've even thought of his martial arts name. He'll inherit my legacy and take the name Goku!" Grandpa Son Gohan declared with such vigor that he seemed a hundred years younger.

Incidentally, like Master Roshi, Grandpa Son Gohan was a long-lived old man. He was over two hundred years old, too.

Well, at least things were following the original storyline a little. Sun Yu smiled wryly and agreed to Grandpa Son Gohan's request.

Sun Yu could have released just a little of his aura and let Grandpa Son Gohan sense the gap between them. He was sure Grandpa Gohan would have been willing to give Goku up to Sun Yu for the boy's future, however painful it might be. But not everything came down to battle power. Sun Yu genuinely respected the martial artist before him. Besides, the Turtle School's martial arts philosophy would give Goku a solid foundation and set him up for future growth. Sun Yu knew he couldn't give Goku that.

"All right, Grandpa Gohan. I'll leave Datou in your care. I'll bring Lana to visit him often." Sun Yu winked at Bulma. Just before leaving, he suddenly remembered something and added, "There's something I just thought of, Grandpa Gohan. I need to cut off Goku's tail. When Saiyans see a full moon, they turn into rampaging Great Apes. But if the tail is cut off, it won't happen."

With that, Sun Yu pulled off Son Goku's tail. "It grows back quickly, Grandpa Gohan, so be careful!" Sun Yu felt he had to warn him for Grandpa Gohan's safety.

"I had no idea such a thing was possible. It's incredible!" Grandpa Son Gohan was only briefly surprised before accepting it. And it wouldn't change his view of the Saiyans. That was the open-mindedness of a true martial artist.

After saying goodbye to Grandpa Son Gohan, Sun Yu took Bulma back to where the spaceship had landed. He planned to bring it back to the Briefs family. With the entire Saiyan race facing a crisis, he felt he had to do something.

Then Sun Yu went to an uninhabited area south of East City and found the spaceship he and Lana had traveled in two years earlier. He returned to the Briefs home carrying a single-seat spaceship in each hand.

Lana was still in the Gravity Training Room. Sun Yu went to explain the situation to her. When Lana learned of King Vegeta's scheme, she rarely showed such worry. It wasn't for any other reason—she was deeply concerned about her parents back on Planet Vegeta.

"Kael, I want to go back and see how Mom and Dad are doing..." Lana looked troubled, hesitating as she spoke.

"I was thinking the same thing!" Sun Yu said with a smile.

They told the Briefs couple about their plans. When they learned the two would be making a long interstellar journey, they eagerly prepared a huge supply of Earth food for Sun Yu and Lana, packed it into Hoi-Poi Capsules, and gave it to them to take along.

As for Ace, who was currently mooching off the Briefs family and doing nothing all day, Sun Yu had initially been a little uneasy about leaving him on Earth. But over time, he'd realized Ace wasn't bad at heart and had no grand ambitions. Especially after Briefs bought him a Western-style steakhouse where he could eat all he wanted, Ace immediately began treating Briefs like his provider. He was practically wagging his tail! He was ridiculously easy to keep, which put Sun Yu's mind at ease.

The day of departure gradually drew closer. Farewells were always painful. Little Bulma cried her heart out and made Sun Yu swear every which way that he'd definitely come back. Otherwise, she'd build a spaceship herself and head into space to find him. Sun Yu had no doubt she would. After all, this was the future queen of technology who would even build something as outrageous as a time machine.

And so Sun Yu and Lana each climbed into a spaceship. As the Briefs family watched, the ships slowly lifted off. Then they pressed the flight buttons and set their course: Planet Vegeta!

As the ground below shrank into a tiny blue planet, Sun Yu couldn't help remembering his first arrival on Earth. Back then, he and Lana had squeezed into the same spaceship. Thinking about it now still filled him with nostalgia. He'd been so weak at the time, with hardly any means of defending himself. But things were different now. Sun Yu and Lana's battle power had brought them to the upper ranks of the universe's power hierarchy.

There might be plenty of powerful fighters like Frieza, but considering the overall strength of the universe, Sun Yu was now a rare opponent. On top of that, he still had two trump cards: the Sharingan and the Great Ape Transformation. Even if he ran into a formidable foe, he could still hold his own for a while.

After a year of traveling through space, they finally spotted the dark red Planet Vegeta. The planet had originally been called Planet Plant, and it had once been home to the Plant People, who were short in stature but highly intelligent. But as history had unfolded, the Saiyans wiped them out and seized their technology.

Later, the Saiyans' ruler, King Vegeta, renamed the planet after himself, and it became the Saiyans' home base.

As Sun Yu and Lana descended, they occasionally spotted other ships returning to Planet Vegeta. More were coming back than leaving. It seemed King Bei really had enacted his isolationist policy, secretly gathering forces in an attempt to rebel against Frieza's rule.

Sun Yu had only one thing to say about that: If you wanted to get yourself killed, couldn't you avoid taking all the Saiyans down with you?

After they landed at the Spaceport, Lana hurried out and took great gulps of her home planet's air. A flicker of energy leaked from her body.

"Hey, Lana, make sure you keep your battle power under control!" Sun Yu quickly reminded her. Their battle power was both in the tens of thousands. If they showed up on Planet Vegeta like that, it'd be no different from jumping in front of Frieza and saying, "Hey, you bastard, let's hurt each other!"

The entire planet was under Frieza's surveillance. Until they were ready to face him head-on, Sun Yu and Lana had to be careful.

"Got it. I've suppressed my battle power to..." Lana stuck out her tongue as she answered.

Since Sun Yu was younger than Lana and a Low-Class Warrior, he had to suppress his battle power even further, to only...

The two walked out of the Spaceport. Planet Vegeta was bustling with people. Besides Saiyans, there were plenty of aliens around. Some were Frieza Force subordinates sent over, most of them spies Frieza had stationed on Planet Vegeta. Others came from star systems that did business with the planet.

Sun Yu followed Lana along the familiar yet unfamiliar streets. They were familiar because in his memories, these places were his hometown, where he'd grown up. They were unfamiliar because Sun Yu was actually a transmigrator. Coming to Planet Vegeta today was like a bride riding in a sedan chair for the first time—his first time ever!
