"Phew."

After hurrying out of Orochimaru's room, Jun Tianlin ran back to his own room. Once he had shut and locked the door, he finally let out a sigh of relief.

Then came an excited smile that filled Jun Tianlin's handsome face!

"Finally! Finally, that damn broken screen is showing signs of life!"

Only after laughing heartily for a while did Jun Tianlin gradually calm down. At last, he settled his mind and had time to see what changes the broken screen in his mind had undergone after a day of upgrading.

"Ding. System notification: This system has completed its upgrade. All player information has been updated!"

"Ding. System notification: The player possesses the Byakugan and Shikotsumyaku. They can be combined to form the Tenseigan. Would you like to proceed?"

Just as Jun Tianlin calmed his mind and looked at the screen in his thoughts, a series of cold electronic notification chimes rang out.

He froze for a moment. Once he understood what the system was saying, the excitement in his heart became impossible to put into words. Even his voice trembled with overwhelming exhilaration.

"Yes, I... I'm sure. Combine them!"

"Ding. System notification: The Byakugan and Shikotsumyaku have been combined into the Tenseigan. The player may switch freely between these three bloodline abilities without restriction."

"Ding. System notification: The player's information has been updated again!"

As the cold electronic chimes sounded once more, Jun Tianlin, still immersed in joy, suddenly felt a tingling sensation in his eyes. Then a warm current slowly flowed into them.

"Mm~ Ah..."

The warmth in his eyes surged in waves, bringing a peculiar comfort that made Jun Tianlin feel a different kind of warmth. He couldn't help letting out several moans that might have given people the wrong idea...

A few seconds later, the warmth in his eyes vanished, replaced by an immense ocular power that filled them and emanated powerful waves of energy.

"So this is the Byakugan. Tsk, this power isn't all that strong. But the Byakugan's ability to see through things is truly incredible. No wonder it's considered a supreme dojutsu on par with the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan!"

Opening his eyes, Jun Tianlin lifted his head and easily saw through the entire underground level with the Byakugan. The passageways crisscrossed, with rooms of varying sizes scattered along them.

This was the Byakugan: though it lacked the Sharingan's immense power, it possessed a supreme ability to see through things that even the Sharingan couldn't match. Whether it was the human body's chakra pathways, mountains and rivers, trees and forests, or even buildings of every kind, there was nothing in the world that the Byakugan couldn't see through!

However, unlike the Hyuga Clan of Konoha, when Jun Tianlin activated the Byakugan, there were no repulsive veins bulging around his eyes. Nor did he look as if he had cataracts.

With the Byakugan activated, Jun Tianlin looked no different from an ordinary person. Only inside his eyes, beneath the whites, there was no longer a black pupil. Instead, his irises were blue-green.

The next moment, after testing out the Byakugan, Jun Tianlin poured all his chakra into his eyes, rapidly strengthening their ocular power...

"Tenseigan!"

At Jun Tianlin's low cry, his pair of blue-green Byakugan suddenly changed. Three green tomoe slowly appeared around each blue-green iris. Rotating beside the small irises, the green tomoe formed the shape of a lotus flower within Jun Tianlin's eyes.

"What powerful ocular power! What incredible strength! I feel like I can do anything now!"

With the Tenseigan activated, Jun Tianlin felt the immense ocular power coming from his eyes and couldn't help praising it in a daze.

But after that exclamation, Jun Tianlin slowly deactivated the Tenseigan and returned his eyes to their normal state. He sighed helplessly.

"Alas, the Tenseigan's ocular power is indeed immense, but with my current strength, using even one attack is probably my limit. As expected, great power comes with drawbacks. The Tenseigan's drawback must be the terrifying consumption it incurs when attacking.

"Never mind. I don't rely much on the Tenseigan in battle anyway. My Shikotsumyaku is more than enough. Even if it isn't, I can make do with the Byakugan. The Tenseigan just gives me another trump card!"

As he said this, Jun Tianlin sighed again and stopped thinking about the Tenseigan. Instead, he settled his mind once more and looked at the screen in his thoughts.

"Now that the system has been upgraded and I've combined the abilities to form the Tenseigan, I wonder if the information on that broken screen has changed at all..."
