Li frowned deeply at the piece of snakeskin in his hand. In truth, the skin before him was black tinged with white. Though he could vaguely tell that its original color had been black, it was now mostly white. Li tugged on it forcefully, only to find that he could not tear it apart at all. One had to understand just how strong Li was—if Zeref stood before him, Li could probably rip him in two with a single exertion of force. Yet this piece of snakeskin was incredibly tough.

Li slowly closed his eyes and once again mobilized all the power in his body. When he exerted himself again, he finally managed to tear the snakeskin apart.

Li's expression was grim. That was right—this skin had definitely been shed by that snake. Leaving everything else aside, based on the skin's toughness alone, Li could not harm it at all! At least physically, he had no way to hurt it!

Seeing Li's expression, Timaria asked, "What is that...?"

Li took a deep breath. "Snakeskin. This means we're in serious trouble."
