Gulman sneered. Trying to act tough in front of him—this unknown thing had truly picked the wrong target. His true body could dominate this entire desert; in fact, across the whole continent, the only one who could probably deal with him was Ankhseram. And now this strange thing was actually telling him to show more respect. Gulman was starting to wonder whether his temper had become too good.

Azshara frowned. "Then where are you now?"

Azshara then shot Gulman a look, signaling him not to speak carelessly. Gulman nodded lightly to show that he understood. He was no fool. Since they had no idea where the true body behind that voice was, they naturally had to wait for it to expose itself before making a move.

"Hmph, that's more like it. Fine, I'm right beneath your feet. Dig through the sand under you. I'm about a hundred meters down. Then you'll see me."

Li rolled his eyes, thoroughly speechless. He had long sensed that the other party was beneath his feet, but he had wanted to see what tricks it had up its sleeve. In the end, it merely wanted them to dig it out. Li had thought it possessed some remarkable strength, but it now seemed to be nothing more than a minor character. Still, he did not mind digging it out to see what exactly it was.

"It doesn't seem hostile. Should we just dig it up and take a look?" Azshara asked softly.

Timaria smiled faintly. "It looks like this fellow really believed what I said earlier. It's just a tiny glimmer of light, yet it really thinks it's some great god."

Azshara nodded lightly. When they first heard the voice, the group had immediately played along and acted frightened without exchanging so much as a word.
