Li suddenly seemed to remember something. He examined the items on the shelves again. The labels on them were all written in ancient ninja script. He had wanted to check the production dates, but then he gave a bitter smile. Every product was covered in dust, and after wiping it away, he found dense lines of text beneath. Just looking at it made Li's head spin.
After all, he only recognized part of the ancient ninja script. Reading so much at once would make anyone dizzy. Besides, this place had been cut off from the outside world, so its calendar system was bound to be different from the one outside.
Li then walked over to the counter, where there was a cash drawer. He pulled it open and found quite a few pieces of paper and coins inside. This was probably the currency used here, right?
But then again, even if there had been a massive evacuation, they should at least have taken the money with them. The money was still here, but the people were gone...
With that thought, Li walked out of the shop. The rain outside showed no signs of stopping. The group quickly gathered, but no one had found any useful information.
First, Sai took out a damaged Kunai. It bore obvious signs of use and weathering. It looked as though it had been exposed to the elements for about a year.
From the Kunai, the group reached their first conclusion: this had at least been a ninja village.
Still, it was the first time they had ever seen a village this large.
The others had not made any particularly valuable discoveries. Li, meanwhile, took out some items from the supermarket. Most of them had shelf lives of six months, one year, two years, or three
