Three months later—nine months after Li entered this time period—Konoha was shaken by a major event: Kakashi officially graduated from the Ninja Academy, setting what was likely the greatest record in the history of not only Konoha, but the entire Shinobi World.
This was an exhilarating event for all of Konoha.
That day, the Third Hokage personally presided over his graduation ceremony and personally placed the forehead protector on his head.
All the students in the school had been forcibly brought in to watch, and many important figures had gathered as well. At that moment, Hatake Kakashi became the focus of all Konoha.
However, something about Kakashi felt off to Li. He truly did not seem like a child at this point. His eyes were utterly still, and he remained silent throughout, as though graduating from here gave him nothing to boast about.
Throughout the ceremony, he moved only when necessary. Some of the students below could barely stand to watch. After all, when most of them graduated, at most their class teacher would perform the forehead protector ceremony for them. When would the Hokage himself ever place one on their heads? This was simply the highest honor!
It was then that a voice sounded by Li's ear. "Master."
"Hmm?" Li froze for a moment, but a cold smile soon spread across his lips. "You finished it?"
"Yes. White Fang is dead," Chomei said. "Just as you said, he committed suicide. But he was quite powerful. If not for the methods from the Yin-Yang Union Grand Art that you taught me, I might not have been able to deal with him so quickly."
Li nodded. There was naturally a reason Kakashi looked so despondent, even though Li had already seen what he was like as a child in the anime.
