Setting Off

"All right, we'd rested enough. It was time to set off! It was getting late, and after eating our fill, packing up our things, and getting some exercise, our stomachs felt especially comfortable now. We should hurry and get back on the road. If we didn't, I felt like we'd be hungry again soon!" Chun Muzi said softly with a smile.

After hearing what Chun Muzi had said, Uzumaki Chenhao nodded with a smile. The two of them stood up, picked up their gear, and continued onward.

"We ate just the right amount—it really felt nice. Now we could finally travel properly again. I believed we could cover a very, very long distance this afternoon. Before long, we'd be home! It was strange, though. We hadn't come across a single village along the way." As Uzumaki Chenhao walked ahead, he smiled at Chun Muzi beside him.

After hearing Uzumaki Chenhao's words, Chun Muzi nodded with a smile. She had noticed it too: there had been no villages along the way, only forests and open plains.

"Exactly. I noticed it too, but we didn't take the same route back as we did when we left. That explained why we saw so many villages on the way out, but none at all on the way back!" Chun Muzi suddenly thought of something important and said it to Uzumaki Chenhao with a smile.
